With the Pats’ surprising run to the Super Bowl behind us, the next crucial date on the New England calendar is upon us – the first Red Sox spring training game a week from Saturday.
I like to think of our work at New Harbor as a lot like baseball.
Let’s start with the fact that there’s a game every day and you have to play to win in April if you want to be in the World Series in October (or November…). There’s no showing up on Labor Day and making the playoffs—by then, the ship is well over the horizon.
By extension, the first inning of a game matters just as much as the ninth. Every one of the dozens at-bats and hundreds of pitches in a game (well over 10,000 in a season!) matters—and some matter a great deal. For us, every media pitch, all the coverage (good and bad), every e-newsletter, and every social media post can make the difference in a game—and in the pursuit of a championship.
Similarly, like winning the World Series, achieving communications goals not only requires creative home runs, but championship-level preparation and consistency, too.
For us, every day is Game Day, and we’d be glad to help you be ready to play at championship level when the sun comes out, the snow melts and the ump shouts “Play Ball!”
