We Need YOU!

A Stewardship Letter from Fr. Paul

Dear Friends in Christ,

Jesus assures us, “In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places.” (John 14:2, NRSV)

These words remind us that God’s abundance is spacious and generous. There is plenty good room in God’s household for each of us. St. Paul also reminds us “God blesses us with abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, we may share abundantly in every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:8). This year’s stewardship theme, Plenty Good Room, invites us to recognize the abundance God has already entrusted to us. This is even more evident as we move into this next year as we celebrate 40 years of ministry and mission at ECA. Even in uncertain times, we are called to trust that there is enough: enough for our families, enough for our church, enough for our neighbors. We will provide several opportunities... click here to continue reading.

Vestry Investor Spotlight This Week:  Sue Tidwell This week, the highlight is on Sue Tidwell! Sue currently serves on the Finance Committee as the Chair, helping to navigate the finances of ECA. She is proficient and efficient in her tasks, and we are blessed to have her time and talent at ECA. Additionally, Sue has often been seen behind the scenes quietly contributing to ECA by doing things such as dishwashing for St Martha’s guild at numerous events and receptions and is always helping out. Sue is a long-time treasure at ECA! Thank you Sue for investing in ECA and our ministry and mission!

Mark your Calendar: Youth Christian Formation, Fruits of the Spirit starts THIS Week. Be A Difference Maker! This year, our youth will explore the Fruit of the Spirit this year by studying the 9 virtues of the heart written by the Apostle Paul in Galatians 5:22-23. Through our studies, activities, and crafts, we will strive to be "difference makers" in our world! We will begin with the virtue, LOVE in September. This is an internal heart attitude towards God and others. We will study the many ways that Jesus showed love and how we can be more loving in our everyday lives. All children/youth are invited! Bring a friend! Children/Youth CF will begin meeting on the first and third Sunday of each month (note the change for the first meeting on September 27). See Cheryl Farr to learn more.
