A Reflection from Rev. Becky+

Stewardship Update:

Hello!

Quite a few of you have been asking, “How is stewardship going?” Great question!

As of this morning, December 5th, we are almost 70% of our way to our monetary goal ($278,665.00 of $405,000) and 62% of our way to our pledge unit goal (48 out of 77). While I’d like us to be closer to our goal, I’m not panicking yet—we just need to get those pledges in! We can do the thing!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has already pledged, and an even HUGER thank you to those of you who have stepped up and increased your pledge (this is many of you!)

If you haven’t yet, now is the time to pledge! The finance committee and vestry will be working with the information we have to make the most prudent decisions for next year.

Stay warm out there!

Outreach Committee Update

Christmas Stars

As we celebrate this season of giving, we once again need your help to ensure that 30 children in the community will have gifts on Christmas morning. Your generosity provides yet another beacon of hope in our community.

You can access the Christmas Stars Google sign up sheet by clicking here or you may select a tag from the basket in the Narthex. Each child's listing will have information about sizes, clothing needs, toys or gifts they would like to receive. Some children have only clothing sizes and no wish-list items; but, please purchase at least one toy. If you need help figuring out gifts, there is a link on the sign up page that lists suggested gifts by age.

Please purchase gifts totaling $60-80 per child and drop off in the parlor by Sunday Dec 15th. Please don't wrap your gifts this year, but please label each item with the child’s name. If you would like to sponsor a child, but need elves to do the shopping, contact Gayle Edwards at 252.903.2782.

Thank you in advance for supporting this heartwarming project that reminds us of the true spirit of Christmas.

Ripe for Revival

We're not done yet, though - and we need your help! As part of our partnership with Ripe for Revival, we've been given the opportunity to assemble and deliver Christmas meals to families in need.

Join us on the morning of Friday, December 20th for a fun and fulfilling packing session at Rocky Mount Mills starting at 9 a.m., followed by an afternoon of delivering these bundles of joy, beginning at 1 p.m.

Your participation will bring smiles and make a real difference. Let's share the spirit of Christmas together! And we had a wonderful time working together.

If you would like to participate, please email Isabella Walker or reply to this email.
