CATHEDRAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM A Catholic education is one of the most important gifts you can give your child. St. James Cathedral provides scholarships to Cathedral children attending the Rainbow Schools (St. Joseph, St. Therese, St. George, Holy Family Bilingual), and the Simperman Scholars Program provides scholarships to those attending O’Dea, Holy Names, Bishop Blanchet, or Kennedy Catholic. Scholarships are awarded annually to parish families who demonstrate financial need and are actively involved in the parish through their gift of time, talent, and treasure. Applications for the 2026-2027 school year are due April 30, 2026. Information or to request an application, Patty Pruitt, 206-274-3108 or ppruitt@stjames-cathedral.org.

TALLIS SCHOLARS CONCERT WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22 AT 7:30PM Cappella Romana presents Peter Phillips and The Tallis Scholars in “Mysteries and Miracles.” Tracing the life of Christ, from the mystery of his birth to his radiant resurrection, hear storms calmed and demons cast out in vivid motets by Giovanni Gabrieli, Francisco Guerrero, Jacobus Gallus, Thomas Tallis, Tomás Luis de Victoria, and Giaches de Wert. Two of Arvo Pärt’s modern masterpieces complete the program. Tickets, https://cappellaromana.org/concert/tallis-scholars/. GRATITUDE FROM ST. JAMES IMMIGRANT ASSISTANCE Through your generous financial contributions, many volunteer hours and steadfast prayers, Immigrant Assistance continues to provide ESL tutoring, citizenship preparation, naturalization assistance, resource navigation and accompaniment. Federal policy changes, increased enforcement (detention, removal), and wide uncertainty around the outcomes of immigration cases create an incredibly stressful environment. Thank you for helping St. James demonstrate that we value our immigrant community members. Information, Erica de Klerk, edeklerk@stjames-cathedral.org or 206-382-4511.

THANK YOU to everyone who supported the Lenten Warm Hearts and Soles Sock Drive Because of your generosity, there are plenty of new socks that the Cathedral’s outreach ministries can share over the course of the year. Thank you for blessing and caring for those who will wear the socks.

QUESTIONS ABOUT CATHOLICISM? Do you have questions about the Catholic faith? Are you new to Mass and wondering what it’s all about? Are you cautiously curious about the Church, or perhaps decidedly interested in becoming Catholic? Information, John Marquez, 206-654-4640, jmarquez@stjames-cathedral.org.

CATHEDRAL BOOKSTORE The Cathedral Bookstore is open weekdays 11am-3pm, and after each weekend Mass. Stop by for a wide selection of books, rosaries, medals, socks, stickers, as well as Cathedral souvenirs of all kinds. Information, Maria Laughlin, mlaughlin@stjames-cathedral.org.
