Consumers today have so many choices. Making a decision to buy can seem daunting. We have found this to be especially true with carry-on luggage. We can help! Without a suitable piece of luggage for your trip, you won't get very far. Your luggage is your companion that gets you from point A to B and in between, and it needs to be durable & spacious!
Wheels or no wheels?
Carry-on luggage comes in all shapes and forms. One question you need to ask yourself: do you want wheels or not? There are many added benefits to wheeled luggage. The wheels save your back & neck. Keep in mind airport concourses can be huge. You have to carry your luggage through the airport and you also have to get it to your hotel. If you have back, neck or shoulder issues, we would highly recommend utilizing wheels!
If you are comfortable carrying your items a smaller backpack anywhere from 25 to 35 Liters would be a great option. A backpack helps disperse the weight on your back and lumbar, making it easy to maneuver around crowded airports.
Size does matter:
Many airlines allow you to carry-on 22 x 14 x 9 inch suitcase (45 linear inches). Some airlines within Europe (smaller budget airlines) might have a tighter restriction on dimensions, as well as weight. Always check with your airline before you leave. Also, we recommend your own small luggage scale. For only $15.99 it is well worth it, versus paying the overweight luggage fees.
Features & durability:
Consult your Travel Store experts! You do get what you pay for with luggage! If it is inexpensive, it probably is not the quality you are looking for. Look for a luggage that has a great warranty, like Briggs & Riley or Eagle Creek. This warranty will save you money in the future.
