Save the date for the Send Relief SERVE Tour coming to Tulsa October 14-17.
Oklahoma Baptists will bless the Tulsa metro area by doing compassion ministry projects and share the hope of the Gospel. We will be blessing the city, local schools, bi-vocational pastors, and churches being revitalized.
We would love for your church to join us. Here are several ways you can:
- Lead a team from your church to participate
- Be a project team leader
- Host a team to stay at your church
- Pray for God to work mightily through Serve Tulsa
Would you prayerfully consider joining us as we meet needs and see lives changed in Tulsa?
The participant cost is free – we will provide lunches to volunteers on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday through our Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief Team. We will also serve a dinner Friday night before the Serve Tour Rally (location TBA). Each participant will also receive a free t-shirt.
Most projects will be on October 15-16. We are considering October 14th as a travel day, and many will want to worship with the church they are partnering with on Sunday, October 17th. Some projects will start on October 14, depending on the scope of the project.
In the days coming, we will give you recommendations for lodging if needed which will include nearby hotels and churches willing to host groups. Each group will be responsible for securing housing that appeals to them.
We anticipate the registration portal will go live later this month.
We have five hubs that will be the sending base for all the projects. We are looking at around 75-100 projects around Tulsa that will give us avenues to be the hands and feet of Jesus and advance the Gospel!
Our five hubs are: Angus Church; FBC, Tulsa; Eastwood Baptist Church; FBC, Jenks; and Community Baptist Church, Coweta. Our HUB leaders from these churches will be the contacts for determining projects in these surrounding locations.
The HUB Leaders are Jordan Stowe (Angus Church), Mike Hart (FBC, Tulsa), Jeremy Rhodes (Eastwood), Jamie Pendleton (FBC, Jenks), and Adam Mask (Community BC). These men will be helping determine the projects with a team in the different areas of the city.
Each morning, volunteers will meet at the HUB closest to their project for a time of instruction, prayer, and to pick up supplies.
We are praying for God to do a great work during this timeframe as we love our city.
Check out the video to see the details of how you can participate in advancing the Gospel. If you would like to be a part of this great opportunity, please contact me at 918-557-1558. I would also like to take you to coffee or lunch to talk more about this great opportunity.
