Community Climate Action Day

BEC will building bird boxes for Altacal to place in the Park Fire burn scar.

This project is important to helping restore habitat for birds in burn scars by providing them with a home within the trees. Birds are an essential part of restoration in burn scars because they have the ability to naturally reseed the ecosystem by spreading seeds all throughout the area. But birds can not do this if they do not have a place to call home.

Volunteers have an opportunity to aid in the restoration of the land that we care deeply about.

After volunteer projects have concluded, from 12:30 - 2pm there will be a free volunteer lunch provided in Cedar Grove, where there will also be a free resource faire where volunteers can mingle with other agencies and learn more about free services that are provided to the community.

Tyme Maidu Tribe-Berry Creek Reservation

Enterprise Rancheria

Mechoopda Indian Tribe

We acknowledge and are mindful that these first people have a special and sacred relationship with their ancestral lands and the waters that run through these lands, sustaining them for centuries. We strive to learn from their ways and to be considered by the tribes as allies to respect and steward resources in this life-giving place.
