Have you ever seen a garden that took your breath away? You visit again two months later and the garden is still in full glory. How do people do this? Learn how to design a garden that offers visual interest spring through fall with a few winter accents as well. This lesson will walk you through the design process step-by-step. Hosted by Nancy Bell, a Master Gardener with the University of Illinois Extension.

This one-hour presentation follows travel enthusiast Gene Flynn's April 2019 river cruise, which begins in Amsterdam and visits five different areas of the Netherlands and Belgium. Gene starts by looking at the geography and history of these low countries and goes on to explore windmills, past and present, the world’s largest tulip festival, the art of Rubens and Rembrandt, and wonderful chocolate vendors.

Learn how to create a cute baby mobile from scratch. For this craft you will need a wooden embroidery hoop or metal macramé hoop, felt, sewing needle, embroidery thread, pillow stuffing, and paper templates to cut out your designs. 

The first 20 people to email Kristina Giovanni at will receive a bag of supplies to make one craft, available May 25. You must provide your own scissors, sewing needle, and thread.
Join us on Zoom to learn how to draw animals with unique bodies and textures, and create your own drawing. Supplies needed: paper, pencils/erasers, ruler. Tracing paper, markers, or colored pencils optional. Computer, tablet, or phone is required to attend via Zoom.

Were you busy on Monday night so you couldn't catch the latest Zoom program? Bummed that you missed a computer class for something you really wanted to learn? If so, check our YouTube channel! Most of our computer programs, youth storytimes, and some of our adult seminars (with speaker permission) are posted to our YouTube channel. Storytimes are posted for 30 days, computer classes stay up indefinitely, and adult programs vary by program. Take a look for current or past programming whenever you have some free time!

Genealogy Club has moved to online meetings via Zoom! Join us to learn about internet and archival genealogy and research support. Registration is required to receive the Zoom meeting link.
Our next meeting is Wednesday, May 19, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Expand your genealogy search from home with Ancestry Library, a research tool for genealogy and local history. Through it you can examine census data, the American Genealogical Biographical Index, and more. While typically only for in-library use, this service is available for home use for Bloomingdale Public Library Cardholders through June 30, 2021.
Join other parents, high school and middle school students, and professionals to learn about issues facing today’s youth. The Glenbard Parent Series engages top experts, parents and school staff to become proactive and informed in pursuit of the mutual goal to strengthen our communities. Programs are free and open to the public.
