A Closer Look
Spring Convocation

Following the holiday break, the College will not reopen to the public until Wednesday, January 5. Staff should return on January 3, 2022, for office work and departmental meetings. Faculty will return on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.  
 
Spring Convocation will be held the morning of Tuesday, January 4, 2022, and lunch will be provided at its conclusion. Details for Spring Convocation will be shared soon. For additional information, please contact your supervising CLT member. 
Human Resources Request

The Office of Human Resources requests that each employee check the accuracy of their mailing address as listed on their November paystub. 

Paystub information can be accessed through myShelton under the Employee tab and Pay Information heading. Accurate mailing addresses are necessary to expedite the delivery of tax forms and other reports the College is required to send out. 

Employees should submit any changes to their mailing address to payroll@sheltonstate.edu.
Shelton State Community College
Athletic Hall of Fame

As an exciting addition to the College’s rich heritage and tradition of athletic excellence, Shelton State Community College has established the Shelton State Community College Athletic Hall of Fame (Hall of Fame). The Hall of Fame will serve as a means of recognizing and honoring athletes, coaches, teams, and individuals who have made significant contributions to the athletics programs at the College and who have set high standards for others to emulate.
 
The inaugural Shelton State Community College Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on the evening of February 18, 2022.
 
Nominations for the Hall of Fame must be submitted via the official Shelton State Community College Hall of Fame Nomination Packet and Form. The form and required items must be completed and submitted no later than January 5, 2022, for consideration. 
Gaido Named Esports Coach

Congratulation to Jackson Gaido for being selected to lead the Shelton State Esports team. Most recently, Gaido participated as an active member of the College’s Esports team and he is currently pursuing a degree in Programming and Application Development.

Available again to ALL! 

The College’s citizenship class is getting ready to welcome a new group of students interested in becoming U.S. citizens! Registration is going on now for the course beginning on January 10!

COVID-19 Safety Protocol
Shelton State Community College’s COVID-19 mask policy expired on November 28, 2021.

The College will now encourage all persons entering SSCC campuses to wear appropriate facial coverings/masks but they will no longer be required for entry.

COVID-19 reporting requirements for students and employees will remain in place until further notice. For complete information, visit Shelton State Community College COVID-19.

Reporting Exposure or Positive COVID-19 Diagnosis
Employees and students are required to notify the College of close contact with an individual with COVID-19. Likewise, employees and students who have tested positive for COVID-19 are required to notify the College of the diagnosis. Notifications should be sent to the College at covidreporting@sheltonstate.edu.

Individual notifications will continue for contact tracing purposes, however, College-wide notifications will no longer be sent. All questions or concerns related to reporting may be sent to covidreporting@sheltonstate.edu.
