Blue Ridge Community College is looking for a mission driven network engineer to support the  BRCC  Enterprise-wide Area Network. The chief objective of this position is to provide technical expertise for managing  the  BRCC   LAN  and  WAN  networks. Management of the network includes all the components rel evant to a converged data, voice and  video Network and includes routers, gateways, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VoIP call managers, video bridges, scheduling systems and wireless. This position is responsible for the "hand-on" design, deployment and troubleshooting of the various components of the network. The  BRCC  network infrastructure supports the Student, Faculty, and Staff with two remote locations.

Identifies and solves problems related to  computer network technology and to communicate with users, manufacturers, and vendors concerning networking, hardware, or software issues. Oversees all audio / visual systems on the campus. Installs and maintains all classroom and conference room video projectors, document cameras, DVD video players.
