Job Opening: Senior Network Engineer
Blue Ridge Community College | Weyers Cave

Blue Ridge Community College is looking for a mission driven network engineer to support the  BRCC  Enterprise-wide Area Network. The chief objective of this position is to provide technical expertise for managing  the  BRCC   LAN  and  WAN  networks. Management of the network includes all the components rel evant to a converged data, voice and  video Network and includes routers, gateways, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VoIP call managers, video bridges, scheduling systems and wireless. This position is responsible for the "hand-on" design, deployment and troubleshooting of the various components of the network. The  BRCC  network infrastructure supports the Student, Faculty, and Staff with two remote locations.

Oversees the operation of the MTC local area network, and connection to the RCPS Central office. Responsibilities  include installing, testing and performing routine maintenance on  Microsoft  servers,  as well as administration of the google apps domain  and all local area network equipment. Identifies and solves problems related to  computer network technology and to communicate with users, manufacturers, and vendors concerning networking, hardware, or software issues.
