Harrisonburg, VA (November 23, 2016) - The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the annual Community Profile and Membership Directory has arrived. This year's edition, produced by SouthComm Publishing Company, shines the spotlight on area amenities, growth and the Chamber's 100 year anniversary.

"This is our most widely
distributed publication each year both locally and outside of Virginia. "

The Community Profile and Membership Directory includes community information and contacts for government offices and utilities. A directory of Chamber members provides a quick reference for businesses in the community that also support their community through the Chamber's programs and events.
If you would like a copy, or multiple copies, please contact the Chamber of Commerce or stop by the office at 800 Country Club Road. The publication will also be available on-line in the near future.

Save the date for: VIRTUES II (VIrginia RoboTics and Unmanned Systems Education Summit)
February 9 & 10, 2017 at James Madison University

The first VIRTUES (VIrginia RoboTics and Unmanned Systems Education Summit) was held at JMU on Aug. 17 th and brought Virginia's unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) community together to produce actionable objectives toward Governor McAuliffe and Senator Warner's vision for The New Virginia Economy. The conference was organized into four working groups-Research, Curriculum, Industry, and Policy and Ethics-who met with facilitators during the day to discuss the success stories in each area, to map what was happening regarding UMS in each of the areas, and to identify gaps and opportunities for collaborative action that would move each of these areas forward and make each more responsive to rapidly changing and growing needs. All of the information was gathered and reviewed and resulted in a list of actionable items for the coming year that will help support UMS growth through research, jobs creation, and policy that supports innovation.

A video about the conference, the report mentioned above, and a general reap are available on the VIRTUES website: http://virginiarobotics.org/virtues-conference/
