Summer is nearly upon us. Soon it will be the time when tourists begin flocking to the beach and families come to the coast to enjoy laidback ocean waves and sunny days.
Last year, Ocean Shores saw a record number of visitors to our community, and with the COVID pandemic on the wane and people looking to travel again, the Ocean Shores business community may very well experience bustling days ahead.
In addition, summer events and festivals are back! The Five Star Dealership’s Sand and Sawdust Festival, complete with woodcarving and sandcastle contests, takes place June 25-27. Next up, the 4th of July celebration brings countless patriotic fireworks enthusiasts to the town’s beaches to enjoy our Independence Day festivities. At the end of July, the Ocean Shores Convention Center hosts Hog Wild Ocean Shores on the 23-25, attracting motorcycle enthusiasts from across the Pacific Northwest to our city.
Together, we have an amazing opportunity to have a strong, safe and successful summer. My respect goes out to every business owner and employee who makes the Ocean Shores business community a remarkable place to be.
