Happy Spring!!!!

Spring is a season that provides us with great pleasure, much joy and happiness. It’s not too hot, and not too cold. The days are longer and no one complains about the ice or snow. But the real beauty of Spring is that it nourishes our heart and fills it with love and joy!!!! Please take the time to look at the pictures posted throughout The Silver Summary...really look at them closely. Notice the students’ faces….look at the smiles and hear their laughter and giggles...see the expressions on the children's faces….notice the teamwork and the competition...look at how they are like a family….The Silver family!!! Fill your heart with love and joy!!

Thank you to all the families and friends of Silver who attended our many programs the past few weeks. Thank you to The Silver Academy faculty and staff for the amazing job they did preparing our students for the Celebration of Learning.

Shabbat Shalom,
Debra

Ps. Happy Mother’s Day to all our fabulous moms !!!!!!!

A Peek Inside Our Classrooms
Ganeinu

We love to mix it up in Ganeinu... literally! To review Hebrew color names we used food dye in water to experiment with color mixing while talking about our results using the Hebrew names for our colors.
Math 24 Club Competes
Mrs. Mindy Lock, Club Advisor

If you walk by the resource room on Tuesday mornings between 7:30 and 8:10, you may hear a lot of "noise." This excitement is from students in grades 3-8 challenging each other in the game of Math 24. These dedicated students come to school early every week to sharpen their math skills and have improved dramatically throughout the year.

On Tuesday, May 5th, our middle school team, including Brian Dym, Elez Bell, Joshua Jackson, and Moshe Schertz, competed against 120 other central PA students. While our team did not make the "final four" they did put forth an all-out effort and had a great time!

Our 4th and 5th graders will be participating in our "in house" Math 24 competition on Monday, June 4th. We are all looking forward to this event.

Congratulations to all of our super mathematicians, and a great big "THANK YOU" to their parents for getting the children to school so early on Tuesday mornings and for their support throughout the year.
