The Sincuidados HOA signed a new five-year agreement with Cox Communications, allowing homeowners to receive free basic cable, a free Contour 2 HD Receiver and four free Mini Boxes. The new agreement also includes, for the first time in the community's history, a revenue-sharing plan for Sincuidados.
The old arrangement required homeowners themselves to pay for the Contour 2 HD Receiver and anything more than two Mini Boxes.
The Contour 2 HD Receiver allows you to search for programs with voice remote. Homeowners pay for premium channels themselves.
Under revenue sharing, Sincuidados will receive a portion of every dime homeowners are spending with Cox TV, internet, phone and Homelife smart home and security. Based on Sincuidados homeowners’ current use of Cox, the community would have received approximately $10,000 for the last 12 months under revenue sharing.
According to Cox, 87 percent of Sincuidados homes use Cox cable.
The new agreement became effective October 27 and includes an exit clause at the end of the first year. Prior to the one-year exit clause, homeowners will receive a survey to learn if they value the service and want to continue it.
Call the Cox Communications Bulk Center at 855-512-8876. You can make any changes to your account there. Members currently paying for a Contour 2 HD Receiver and four Mini Boxes should see these fees automatically dropped from their invoice. Please keep in mind there are several types of Contour receivers and, under the new agreement, homeowners are entitled to a particular one unless you pay an additional fee for something different.
