The Skokie Home Scoop - June 9, 2017

Dear Skokie Families,

This serves as the final Home Scoop of the year, coming to you on the first official day of Winnetka Summer!  We had a fun, short day yesterday saying farewell for the summer to our 5th and 6th graders, and closed with an assembly celebrating the year.  Our band, orchestra and chorus each performed a song for us, and we recognized several big memories and accomplishments from the year.

Thank you to all of the parents, community members and staff that made this year a success.  Congratulations to our retiree, Dr. Deborah Krueger, on the close of a dedicated career in The Winnetka Public Schools.  Thank you to our PTO and Winnetka Public Schools Foundation for your constant support and cheerleading in making our school as well-resourced and inviting to our students as possible.

As we head into the summer, take the time together with your family to rejuvenate, rest and retire from the busy routines we are so tied to through the school year.  Have fun, try something new, be your summer self.  I am grateful to our entire school community for the role you each play in supporting our students.  Have a wonderful summer, and I look forward to seeing you in August!

Most Sincerely,

Kelly Tess

They love to hear student thinking! Students will log on to mathforum.org as they did during the year.
