This week's Peachtree City CERT class focused on vital emergency response skills!

Participants trained in:

• Extrication and immobilization techniques
• Medical transport for injured victims
• Hands-on activities to safely transport patients
• Watched a cribbing demonstration video to learn how to stabilize vehicles during rescues

These practical exercises prepare our community volunteers to respond effectively during disasters and emergencies.

This week in PTC 101, the team from Recreation & Special Events gave participants an inside look at everything they do to keep Peachtree City active, beautiful, and fun!

What did they learn?

• The process of planning and hosting special events
• The safety testing they conduct to keep our playgrounds safe
• How they maintain and beautify our parks with landscaping, upkeep, and renovations

As part of the hands-on activity, participants got to try real playground safety testing—a crucial step in keeping our parks fun and secure for all ages! Huge thanks to our Recreation & Special Events team for their dedication to making Peachtree City a great place to play, gather, and enjoy the outdoors!

Hops and Props Beer Festival: Where Craft Beer Meets Classic Warbirds
