This week, our 11am Classic Worship will be led by our Children's Ministry. They have worked hard on their Faith Milestones and are excited to share their spiritual accomplishments with their church family. We hope you can come share this special service with them.

So, what's next? We have formed a Strategic Planning Team dedicated to engaging with our congregation. This team will focus on asking essential questions to understand the needs of our church community and align our actions with what we believe God desires for us.

Through thoughtful discussions and input from our members, we aim to create a meaningful path forward that serves our mission and strengthens our community.

We hope you can join us as we spend time together as a church community dreaming big and discussing our vision for SFUMC.

On Veterans Day Sunday, we honor all of our Smyrna First Veterans and Active-Duty military with a display at the church.

TUESDAY, November 19

This 5-week Advent Study is hosted by the Cliff Jordan Continuing Education Center.

We have two options for this class on the book “On the Road to Bethlehem”. Led by Rev. Joey Hatchell, Rev. Barbara Hatchell, Rev. Beverly Marshall-Goodell, Linda Porter, and Donna Jordan.

Option 1: Tuesdays, beginning November 19th, 10:30-noon, A205.

SATURDAY, December 7

On Saturday, Dec.7, 9am-1pm, Fellowship Hall, we will hold our annual Children’s Craft fair for the community that benefits our Children’s Ministry. You will find our Fellowship Hall transformed into a festive wonderland; with many craft booths to choose from, face painting, and the Candy Cane Cafe. Tickets will go on sale, soon.

We will need volunteers to assist the children with the craft projects. Contact Estee Lassiter: elassiter@smyrnafumc.org for more information about volunteering. 

The GiftMart will also be happening the same week, with many gift ideas to purchase for the holidays.

FACILITIES ASSISTANT NEEDED

We are currently looking for a part-time Facilities Assistant. For details, please contact Rebecca Paul, rpaul@smyrnafumc.org.

Would you like to purchase flowers in honor or memory of a loved one to be placed on the altar? You may reserve a date by clicking on the button below and fill out the information. We will order the flowers for you and place them on the designated date in either the Sanctuary (for Classic worship) or the Fellowship Hall (for Common Foundation worship).

Use the Maintenance Request Form if you see any issues concerning our facility, (toilet overflow, leak, etc.)

Use the Communications Request Form if your ministry needs publicizing or you have an article you would like us to share with the congregation.
