Stewardship Campaign 2025 | |
As part of our commitment to our faith and community, we renew our dedication to serving God through our prayers, presence, gifts, service, witness, and Bible reading. These elements are central to our mission and are foundational to our membership vows.
We are excited to announce that our stewardship campaign for 2025 is now kicking off, inviting all members to participate actively in this journey of faith and service. Together, we can make a significant impact in our community and beyond. Please take time to pray and consider what you and your family are able to commit to the giving part of your vows.
February 9th, we will dedicate these cards to the glory of God by bringing them to the altar. (Even if you choose to fill out your pledge online, there is a box you may check on the physical card to bring to the altar). Click Here for online pledges.
1 Peter 2:9-10 - But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Go & Grow Together offers a prime opportunity to connect generation to generation. We will match mentors and mentees together for this independent learning opportunity that will focus on their choice of three tracks: Leadership, Discipleship, and Vocation.
Discipleship Track: Mentors and Mentees will complete the central goal of growing closer to God and each other. This track will connect generation to generation as mentors/mentees will listen, discern, and pursue the call of God on their lives.
Vocational Track: Mentors and Mentees will complete the central goal of helping connect people with the local community as they discern and navigate their anticipated or current vocational paths. This Track will include a Career Development Session and Job Shadow Day. The Career Track will be partnered with the Cliff Jordan Continuing Education Center at SFUMC.
Leadership Track: The Leadership Track is a leadership development system aimed at discerning God’s vision and mission for our lives and our church. Leadership Committees will be partnered with our new 2025 roll of leaders.
We are excited for you to be on this journey with us!
We will celebrate the launch at Match Day: January 26, 2025 following the 11:00 service. We will provide lunch and you will meet your match! Please click here to sign-up! (if you have any questions, please contact Rev. Kathryn: kdavis@smyrnafumc.org.)

As part of the United Methodist Church, Smyrna First honors the discipline of being a Lay-lead congregation. We have four Book of Discipline mandated committees which are the Board of Trustees, Finance Committee, Staff Parish Relations Committee and Lay Leadership Committee. These groups work with our Senior Pastor to ensure the Church is living out its mission of Making
Disciples who Make Disciples.
Each Committee has members who serve in classes of three for a three-year term. Committees are appointed by the Lay Leadership Committee and then affirmed by the
Administrative Board. In addition to these committees, we also have the Executive Council and the Strategic Planning Committee.
