The Solemnity of Corpus Christi
(The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ) is always a glorious feast at St. Antoninus, culminating with a Eucharistic procession in our neighborhood.
The procession was led by our altar servers, followed by Fr Joseph who was underneath the canopy, lifting high Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Then a troop of parishioners followed behind, joyfully singing praise & worship to our Lord Jesus.
It was a powerful public witness in the streets of Newark . Our priest held the Eucharist high to bless all the people in the streets- whether they knew Him or not. Jesus was, as ever, there with us - truly present in His Body, Blood, Soul & Divinity, and poured out as a libation to be shared with our brothers & sisters in our neighborhood, and with the whole world.
Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts.
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest
