Emergency Shelter - A Vital Need
This has been the first summer that we were able to keep our Emergency Shelter open. Between June and September, we have served more than a hundred women, giving them a safe place to stay each night, a warm meal, and bus tickets to go to our Day Center or other shelters during the day.

- Angela Murray, Executive Director of The Sophia Way shares her thoughts on the critical need for keeping our Emergency Shelter open year-round.

Have you registered for our Annual Benefit Luncheon?
Join us to hear the amazing stories, told with humor, of the women who experience homelessness and how they face their every day challenges.

We hope you will consider a gift of $20 a month for 10 months or a gift of $200 or more.
Your gift will support a greater number of women that we will be able to house in 2018. Donate

The luncheon will be facilitated by Ashley Nicole Black, an Emmy award-winning comedian and actress, and John Keister, a Seattle-based comedian and writer.

On The Job with Gretchen Philips-Bond
Gretchen Philips-Bond, housing case manager at The Sophia Way was drawn to join the organization when she saw the culture of heartfelt support for the women. “Social services requires empathy to find success for each client, and empathy is a cardinal value for my own life. Everyone I work with is here because they care about what they are doing and are genuinely concerned for the well-being of women experiencing homelessness.”

Volunteer for Our Holiday Initiative
