I don’t know about you, but the last 8 weeks have given me plenty of options for where to fix my gaze. Apparently, being shut-in doesn’t shut-out the constant noise of an always on culture (and news cycle). Fear, frustration, and isolation fight for our attention; especially when we are surrounded by very real circumstances that are uncertain at best. Watching my friends, family, and peers navigate the unprecedented situation in which we find ourselves has forced me to acknowledge my utter helplessness to control any of the outcome and has helped me to focus my attention on what I can endeavor to do: love people well.  (continue reading)

In 2018, Dr. Heintz was named the first Technical Fellow at Columbus headquartered, world-renowned research nonprofit Battelle . In recent months, Battelle has made international news for their development of the Critical Care Decontamination System (CCDS) capable of decontaminating up to 80,000 N95 respirator masks each day.

COLUMBUS ACADEMY

Columbus Academy is using their resources to join the fight against COVID-19 . In partnership with IC3D (local 3D printing and manufacturing company), Academy is 3D-printing face shield visors for the VA Ohio Central Healthcare System.

FREEDOM A LA CART

Non-profit catering company Freedom a la Cart provides human trafficking survivors with workforce training through employment. To support the Columbus community through COVID-19, Freedom a la Cart established the "Nourish our Community" fund, used to create sack meals for victims and survivors of human trafficking.

Right now, we'd love nothing more than to relax on a fully guided tour through some of France's most beautiful locations. This Adventures by Disney adults-only cruise is along the Seine is a far cry from Epcot, and something we're so excited to do again in the future.
