Paving the Way to Safer Schools
R-Zero is a biosafety company making hospital-grade UV-C disinfection technology financially accessible to schools for the first time. Interestingly, UV-C light has been used to disinfect surfaces and the air for over 100 years and it is the gold standard in hospitals today, proven to reduce the incidences of hospital acquired infections (HAIs) by up to 93%. However, until recently, this technology has been cost-prohibitive to organizations outside of hospitals.
R-Zero is a new Allied Member dedicated to NJASA’s mission of supporting school leaders across the state of New Jersey. Their product can play an important role in keeping educators, staff, and students safe through COVID-19 and beyond.

NJASA Administrative Guide Features:
Americans with Disabilities Act and COVID-19
Prior to March 2020, boards of education regularly handled requests from employees for reasonable accommodations at work due to disabilities. With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, employees with and without disabilities became fearful of coming to work. This led to an increase in requests from teaching staff members and other employees to work remotely. In light of the issues created by this public health emergency, this Administrative Guide provides a review and guidance on the handling of requests for accommodations under the ADA.
