BID Works with City on Street Closure InfoCLosure

Many Departments Meet to Discuss Better Informing the Public

South Park BID and Historic Core BID met with LAPD, Film LA, Council District 14, and other City departments to discuss better methods of informing the public of street closures, as a response to your concerns.

While currently there is not one central location for all street closure info, this group is working together towards a solution.  SP BID will post as many local closures as possible on social media, and we encourage you to look for updates on Film LA's website.

For more info, call 311 about specific road closures, and check out the Bureau of Engineering's Navigate LA interactive map.

South Park BID will keep you posted on any further updates!

South Park ED to Chair LA BID ConsortiumCons

Collective of LA Area BIDs to be Led by Jessica Lall of SP

The Los Angeles BID Consortium, the group representing all BIDs in LA, has chosen Jessica Lall, South Park BID's Executive Director as Chair for the next two years.  It will be an honor for her to represent the BIDs of LA and help guide them through their monthly meetings as they discuss issues relating to the BIDs throughout the city.  Jessica joined the BID community in January, after previously working as the Mayor's Policy Director for Downtown LA.  This position will give our community members a direct line of communication to other BIDs for best practices, and to make sure issues important to our constituents are brought to their attention.

Follow These Tips & Don't Have Your New Purchases Stolen

Avoid being a victim of theft!  South Park officers often notice valuables that are visible in cars, and during the holidays this only occurs more.  While SP BID will leave a note reminding you to hide your valuables, a thief will NOT!

This time of year, when you may be making many purchases, please remember these helpful tips and keep those thieving Grinches away:

  • Lock all doors and roll up windows, even if your shopping is short.
  • Put purchases in the trunk or under seats at each location.
  • Take purchases indoors as soon as possible.
  • Park in spot highly visible to others, not near large trucks or bushes.
  • When bringing your gifts indoors, keep them away from windows.
Happy Shopping!
