Three New Residential High Rises Break Ground
This month saw 3 new residential high rises begin construction in South Park and adjacent blocks. At 1120 Grand Ave, the highly anticipated phase two of Mack Urban's planned village in South Park began with the ground breaking of a 37 story condo tower.
To view the urbanize.LA news article, click here.
At 9th and Flower, Holland Partners began construction on Apex II, a 28 story apartment tower, while CIM broke ground on a long anticipated 33 story condo tower. All together these 3 projects will add 1379 new residential units to the neighborhood and almost 40,000 sf of retail space.

Not only are residential projects entering the construction phase, but new projects continue to be announced, including South Park adjacent 744 Figueroa, a 43 story condo tower proposed this month by Japan real estate group Mitsui Fudosan.
With the boom of new construction continuing, South Park continues to establish itself as the residential hub of DTLA which should help attract a critical mass of retailers to serve the neighborhood's growing population.
