Recap: 11/4 26th Anniversary La Grande Affairelagrandeffiaire

California Hospital Medical Center Foundation's 26th Anniversary of La Grande Affaire was the most successful gala to date with $580,000 raised! The success of this event, which took place on November 4 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, is attributed to many sponsors and donors who gave in support of the hospital's mission.

Guests were transported to the Piedmont region of Italy as Chef Celestino Drago prepared a delicious five-course truffle-themed menu with wine complementing each course.
Hospital President, Margaret R. Peterson PhD, stated that proceeds will support the hospital's surgical department with the purchase of three new state-of-the-art pieces of equipment.

For the past 129 years, California Hospital Medical Center has led the way to a healthier future for all of us who visit, work, or live in downtown Los Angeles.

Maintenance Crew Keeps South Park Clean

Starting in 2015, South Park's Clean Team focuses on a monthly special project in order to increase the overall cleanliness of the neighborhood.

This month,  the Clean Team focused on
Detailing walls in the district and removing graffiti from murals.

Earlier this year, the Clean Team steam washed select locations in the district, pressure-washed every trash can in the district,  removed weeds from all local tree wells, removed graffiti, touched up walls with paint, and cleaned the utility boxes and alleys.
Stay tuned for information on special projects from the South Park BID Clean Team in the coming months.
