Joy Spreads into 2026, Thanks to You

Your message of care and support during the holiday season spreads joy that carries into 2026. The holidays were happy for more than 1,200 families in New Jersey this year because of your generosity. Through your donations, workplace collections, online fundraisers, and more, families in your community had everything they needed to celebrate the holiday season.

Many families were moved to tears by the gestures of support and wanted to share their thanks for the donors who made their happy holiday memories possible. Spring is less than five weeks away and your continued support this spring will make a big difference.

"I can’t thank you enough for the support. It really helped my family get through a tough time and made the holidays feel special for my kids." -Client in a parenting support program

“My clients were really excited and I got a lot of very thankful ‘thank yous’ from the families.”Caseworker with a parenting support program

“A family from [our program] said that they were very thankful and said their son was so happy with everything under the tree. The parent was so overwhelmed with appreciation and struggled to put it into words but wanted to make sure we knew that she was extremely appreciative.” - Caseworker with a program supporting families with children in foster care

“I can’t believe that [toy] brings him so much joy. It’s exactly what he asked for, and it really helps him calm down when he’s overwhelmed.”A young mother of a child with special needs when her son received a soft, stretchy superhero figurine.

“Wow, you got the real thing? That’s so cool! Hey look, it’s not a bootleg, it’s the real Beats!” A teenage boy living in a safe home to his counselor when he opened his gift to find the exact brand and color of headphones he wished for.

For one family, money was extremely tight. Mom is going to school to try to provide a better life for their kids, and dad is the only one working. Due to their finances, they agreed they would skip out on the holidays since their oldest is only two. However, the family’s counselor was able to provide clothes for their two daughters, toys, and even some household goods for mom and dad. The family was so grateful to have this support because even though their oldest is only two years old, it sparks the beginning of traditions and happy holiday memories. The whole family had a wonderful holiday, thanks to the kindness of others.

In every home impacted by community support, the gratitude was felt for the weeks following the holidays and your donations put smiles on many faces. Your donations help instill a positive message of support and hope that carries on into the new year.

Your donation makes a difference! Thank you to:

Smiles from Sheeran Real Estate

A huge thank you goes out to Genevieve and her friends at Sheeran Real Estate for their support over the holidays. For two years, you have been bringing joy to families in North Jersey with your contributions to the Thanksgiving Drive and the Holiday Gift Project.

Your support and enthusiasm are just what children and families need.

Thank you for your partnership!

Warm for the Winter

Over 600 children across New Jersey will receive a brand-new coat all thanks to local Subaru partners and Operation Warm.

Thank you for your collaboration to be sure children in tough circumstances can stay warm and cozy during the cold winter months. Your donation provides comfort and hope in uncertain times.

Thank you to Operation Warm, Miller Subaru, Prestige Subaru of Turnersville, RK Subaru of Vineland, Subaru Eastern Regional Office, and Subaru World Newton.

Support on the Sidelines

Thank you to Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Insurance for highlighting Center For Family Services at the Eagles vs Raiders game as part of the Community RedZone program.

Center For Family Services was one of 3 organizations highlighted along with Philly Truce Foundation and Girls Inc.

It was a great day all around with an Eagles win and the chance to spread the word about the need for holiday donations to help survivors of domestic violence living in SERV Safe Homes.

Short-Term Foster Support

There is an urgent need for short-term foster parents in New Jersey. Right now, a child is in need of a safe place to land, and you could be the one to give them that security. If you have room in your home and in your heart, please consider becoming a short-term foster parent—no more than one month of your time and attention means a lifetime of stability for a child in need.

If you or someone you know is interested, click here to find out more about becoming a safe place for a child in need.

Adopt a Room to Provide

the Comforts of Home

Your help is needed to uplift a child or teenager during their transition into safe housing. Many children and teens arrive carrying only a handful of belongings in a trash bag and must start fresh. To help make them feel comfortable during this difficult time, we strive to supply each room with:

  • A twin bedding set
  • A pillow
  • A duffle bag
  • Hair care products
  • Toothbrush & toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Body wash
  • Socks
  • A stuffed animal
  • A journal and pen
  • A robe and slippers
  • Clothes hangers
  • Small lamps
  • Area rug
  • Room décor
  • A set of towels
  • Mirror
  • Shower caddy

Donations you collect send a message of care to a child or teenager who is facing a difficult time in their life. Receiving much-needed items can give someone hope and a more positive outlook to face the challenges ahead.

Click here to make a monetary donation, or drop off new bedding sets and items like those listed above to 1 Alpha Avenue in Voorhees any weekday.

Creative Care

You can support creative arts therapy with a donation for art supplies and crafting materials. There is a high need for paints, watercolors, coloring pencils, canvases, sketchbooks, and coloring books for teens and children living in residential care. Make a gift today to support the arts and promote healing, or start a collection of arts supplies to help a young person tap into their creative potential.

If you have artistic talent and would like to lead creative arts activities in one of our safe homes, reach out to Marissa.Cantu@centerffs.org to learn more.

Prestige Subaru Shares the Love

Thank you to Prestige Subaru and many generous car buyers for your support of the Share the Love campaign this winter, benefiting the SERV program. The funds you raised support survivors as they transition to living independently.

Because of you, there is help available to move into and furnish a new apartment as a survivor begins the next chapter of their life. Thank you for giving hope and cultivating strength for those we serve.
