Support For Sports

Because of you, Andre will play high school football this season.

When Andre became homeless, he was not sure whether he could continue his high school football career. He worried about the uniform fees and school sports fees. Football had always been a good outlet for his emotions and a healthy way to cope through uncertainty. And just as importantly, football makes him happy!

Andre talked to his counselor and help was available because of your donations. Thanks to your monetary donations, the costs are covered and just like his teammates, he was ready to go as soon as pre-season began!

No gift is ever too small to change a life.

Fundraise for the Empower Run & Walk

You can help raise funds and awareness - register as an individual or a team captain. The Empower Run & Walk will be from Friday, September 9th - Sunday, September 11th and you can choose the time, place, and distance of your race.

Your participation will raise important funds to help a child or family change their life. As an event participant, you will receive an Empower Run & Walk printable race bib and an event T-shirt after the race. Sign up here today!

Golfers for Good

Thank you to the sponsors, golfers, and donors for supporting Center For Family Services’ 27th Annual Golf Tournament fundraiser on June 6th, 2022, at Laurel Creek Country Club. The event raised over $80,000 thanks to you! Your participation is valued and appreciated –because of you, help is available for an individual in need in your community.

See you on the green next year!

Broadening Horizons

The pandemic related closures severely limited opportunities for kids to experience enriching and fun outings. Your donations are so important in giving kids the opportunity to experience new things. Your donations to support enrichment make all the difference and help to broaden horizons for kids living in a shelter or group home.

Make your gift today to enrich the life of a child.

You Gave the Gift of School Readiness

Back to school is an important time of year for kids and the start of the school year can create anxiety for kids who worry they will be unprepared. Thank you for providing help to prepare kids for the start of school. Your gift to Project Backpack is the reason a child felt excited to return to school this year. Your support makes a difference. With your investment, you play an important role in a child’s success. Your gift made it possible for a teen to shop and select a backpack based on their style. This builds confidence and a desire to get back to school with peers.

A Vibrant and Growing Community

With your help, Kaleidoscope is expanding services and is only a few steps away from having a homey, inviting space that members can call their own. This summer, more than 50 LGBTQ+ teens and young adults found their community with Kaleidoscope.

Shout outs to each individual donor for recognizing the need and taking action. Thank you to Campbell Soup Foundation, NFL Films, and the JFKLiving realtors for your commitment, fundraisers, and matching gift donations. Special thanks to Mindy Del Duca and Rose Ann Casey for your help designing the new space to welcome members.

Because of you, the Kaleidoscope program is growing stronger and exciting times are ahead!

Christmas in August

Who says the holidays only come once a year? Thank you to the Barclay Farm Swim Club members –the toys you collected were a sweet surprise for the children living in residential care. The toys, games, and stuffed animals were delightful additions to the playrooms in residential homes.

Thanks to you, children in your community can play safely and happily during this transitional period in their lives.

Break a Difference

Thank you to volunteers from Campbell Soup and Break a Difference, for packing bins full of useful home-care and self-care items like laundry pods, kitchenware, towels, dish soap, and a hand-tied fleece blanket for a cozy touch. Because of your support, a mom and her children will receive a house warming party in a bin when they transition into their own safe place to live. Thank you for making the move into a new home a little less overwhelming and a lot more homey!

PULSE Volunteer Highlight

It’s exciting to see the impact of volunteers from Cooper Medical School at Rowan University during the Premedical Urban Leaders Summer Enrichment (PULSE) program. Thank you for your work on a six-week project to respond to the needs of teens and young adults who are experiencing housing insecurity. Your work to develop educational activities centered on physical education and nutrition is recognized and appreciated.

Awarding Your Dedication

Congratulations, Sheba Wiltshire, for your commitment to helping folks live a life in recovery through your service with Recovery Corps!

Your dedication is so inspiring and earned you the National Service Program Volunteer Award at this year’s NJ Governor’s Jefferson Awards event. Thank you for all you do to help individuals find recovery services that meet them where they are and make it possible to live a better live. You are a light in our community!
