Your Gift Sets a Mom on Her Path

Your support continues to make a difference in the lives of moms like Cindy. Cindy struggles with addiction and was overwhelmed by life challenges, including an unsupportive, often violent partner.  Unsure about what her future looked like, Cindy turned to Mother Child for support. With your investment, support services and safe housing were available for Cindy and her daughter. She enrolled her child in preschool and secured employment as a waitress, doing everything she can to give herself and her daughter stability. Cindy is now ready to transition to her own place—a place she can call home. Cindy’s story is just one example of the many successes possible thanks to emergency housing and wrap-around support services for moms and children. It is your gift to Center For Family Services that made this help available for Cindy. Thank you for being the one to help a mom and her child on a path to a safer future.   Duffles Make a Difference Shout out to the many Duffle Bag Project donors, including the Gloucester County Judiciary Labor Management Committee whose collection of new duffle bags makes a world of difference for a mom or young adult as they move toward a brighter future. Leaving a Legacy: Honoring Frances Del Spina

Sincerest thank you goes out to Karen Carbonello, and her late mother, Frances Del Spina whose generous gift to the Mending Arts program is transforming lives of children in Morris County. "My mother, Frances Del Spina, wanted her three daughters to know the joy of sharing our family’s good fortune by donating money to good causes. Toward this end, we decided that Center For Family Services should be one of the recipients! As a staunch believer in the therapeutic value of the arts to heal children, I asked that the funds be used to benefit the participants of the Mending Arts program. In memory of my mother, I hope in some small way that the contribution helps to improve a child’s life by giving them a new tool to express themselves, self soothe when their emotions are overwhelming, or just experience the sheer joy of the arts!"

Cobra Kai Kata Community Fundraiser

Congratulations on the success of the Growth Dojo’s Cobra Kai Kata Tournament. A special thanks to Mark & Jamie Moore and everyone who is part of The Growth Dojo community. Thank you Mark and Jamie for the many ways you use your talents to inspire young people to be their best selves through dedication and perseverance. The money you raised through the Cobra Kai Kata tournament will fund important enrichment and educational events and activities for teens living in our care. These activities help to broaden horizons, strengthen resilience, and build self-esteem. Thank you for your role to provide these activities for each of the teens living in our care.

Mark Moore, the Multitalented Man

Mark and Jamie Moore have room for more than one event in their dojo –Mark continues to be a champion for the community as he embarks on his journey to compete in Dancing with the Gloucester County Stars. You can join Mark as he shimmies and taps his way toward his fundraising goal to support those in critical need.

Promoting Success in Sussex County The TD Bank Charitable Foundation continues to provide tremendous support in communities across New Jersey. Their most recent generous contribution to the Promoting Success Program in Sussex County will provide critical care and support to individuals and families in need. Promoting Success is a comprehensive mental health program supported by Sussex County that services children ages 5-21 and their families who are impacted by mental illness, children’s behavioral issues, and substance abuse. Thank you TD Bank! Your support provides countless opportunities for recovery, family unity, and independence.

Malls for Moms

Thank you to our friends at Cherry Hill Mall, Cumberland Mall, and Moorestown Mall! Your joint efforts gave mothers across New Jersey a well-deserved treat this Mother’s Day with your recent fundraiser. The proceeds from your raffle in early May gave the mothers living in our care the support and stability they need to heal and grow.

Campbell Cares for Camden Volunteers from Campbell Soup Company assembled 45 Healing Through Arts Kits and 20 Hygiene Kits during Campbell Cares Week. Because of you, families received art supplies and essential items to take good care of themselves and use therapeutic techniques at home. Your help makes it possible for a child to flex their creativity muscles and express their emotions in a healthy way. Thank you for the lasting impact you’ve made on the positive development of a child.
