Christmas Mart Puts Families Ahead

The wonderful ladies at The Charity League of Atlantic County hosted the 79th Annual Christmas Mart at the fabulous Linwood Country Club. This important fundraiser provides direct support to Atlantic County families in need. We are so grateful for the dedication of both the organizers and patrons of this event.

Thank you for your generosity!

Your Gifts matter

Above is a quote from a teenager in one of our safe homes during the 2024 giving season.

Please take action this year again to create joyful memories and establish a community in which everyone belongs. With so many children living in safe home, and even more families struggling to meet their basic needs, your support continues to be so important.

Your online donation this year will make the holidays brighter for another child in need.

Make your donation today.

Support for Survivors

Center For Family Services is opening a new safe home in Camden County for survivors of domestic violence. These expanded services will fill an urgent need for refuge for survivors, but the need is greater than a safe place to live. Many survivors arrive to the safe home with just the clothes on their backs, and household items are needed on an ongoing basis to support their healing journey.

You can make a difference in the life of a survivor by:

  1. Making a donation to SERV.
  2. Leading a collection in your neighborhood, workplace, or other community group.
  3. Ordering high-need items from our wish list.
  4. Volunteering as an advocate in Camden, Gloucester, or Cumberland County.

Inspire hope and healing for survivors of domestic violence by taking action today.

Back the Babies

They say it takes a village to raise a baby, and you can be part of a baby’s village by providing clothes for a growing child. Many families in the care of Center For Family Services need a little extra support during the first few years of a child’s life.

Expenses like diapers, food, formula, and new clothes every few months add up quickly.

You can make an immediate impact by purchasing the basics for a new family, lessening their financial burden.

Please drop off donations of diapers and new clothes, sizes 3 months to 4T to

1 Alpha Avenue, Attn: PR Department.

Thank you for being a part of the village that raises healthy, well-cared for babies!

American Water Sparks Creation

A big shout out to American Water’s finance department for coming together to create Healing Through Arts Kits for individuals in need. Your help means that folks are provided with the tools to practice therapeutic techniques cost-free, express themselves, and remain focused on their healing journeys.

We are so appreciative of your team!

Richard Catenacci's 85th Birthday Benefit

An evening cabaret fundraiser in celebration of Richard Catenacci’s 85th birthday brought together a fantastic group of more than 80 people and raised significant funds to support children living in Mercer County safe housing.

The event was hosted by Richard Catenacci, a board member of over 10 years with the organization LifeTies. Richard hosted the cabaret celebration as a benefit for the programs that continue to serve children and families in Mercer County, now under Center For Family Services.

At a beautiful cabaret performed by Richard and his longtime collaborator Bob Egan, Richard invited his guests to contribute to the children living in programs like Rising Star, a residential treatment center for boys aged 9-12.

All gifts in honor of this event will benefit the Center For Family Services through Uncle Tony’s Fund. Uncle Tony’s Fund was founded by Richard Catenacci and his husband Brian Caldwell in honor of Brian’s Uncle Tony, a father figure and caretaker for all who sought stability and security.

Thank you to everyone who attended this special celebration and make Richard’s birthday a night to remember!

Happy 85th, Richard. And thank you for the meaningful support from you and your network of friends and family.

Promoting Well-Being in Sussex County

The Gertude L. Hirsch Charitable Foundation recently awarded a generous grant to support senior citizens in Sussex County. This important funding ensures that our older community members have access to all the resources they need to lead a safe and healthy life.

Thank you for your commitment to uplifting the elders in your community!

Donating Dignity

A huge thank you goes out to Natalie and her team at the South Jersey Dream Center for providing brand-new suitcases and luggage sets to the individuals and families in the SERV and Mother Child programs.

When folks arrive to Center For Family Services safe homes, they often arrive with just a few belongings in a plastic bag, but this donation of suitcases ensures that people can graduate from the programs with dignity and a bright outlook.

Thank you for providing the means for folks to move forward on their journeys with optimism and pride.

Foster Parents Needed

Center For Family Services provides training and placement for short term foster placements, and there is an urgent need for more foster homes.

Do you know anyone who may be interested in providing short-term foster care?

Please spread the word.

Giving Thanks for You

Families in North Jersey were able to have a wonderful meal this Thanksgiving thanks to the West Morris Junior Women’s Club!

Your generous donations of 308 bags of food and an additional $1000, ensure that families had full pantries this holiday.

Each year you make folks feel joyful, loved, and remembered. Thank you for your dedication to uplifting other in your community!

Christ Centered Church Delivers

Thank you to the friends at Christ Centered Church of Hamilton for collaborating with Hello Fresh to provide meal distributions for the supportive housing programs of Mary’s Place and Transitional Housing and Rapid Rehousing. These weekly meal distributions provide residents with meal prep kits from Hello Fresh and prepared healthy meals from Factor.

Since September, these meals have been a great help to residents who haven't always been able to access nutritious meals. Many are continuing school, working full time, and some caring for children so these meal kits are a big help for them to have on hand.

Thank you to Christ Centered Church for organizing this food distribution for our community.

Mercer Mentors Needed

If you’re over 21 and looking to spend some time each month making a difference, consider becoming a mentor. Mentors are especially needed in Mercer County but matches are available across the state.

You can be the one to provide extra support from a caring adult in the life of a child or teenager, building a bond that will take your mentee to new heights.
