THE SPARK
Highlighting outstanding donor and volunteer impact
throughout Center For Family Services.

A Culture of Contribution
To all employees from The Wyanoke Group - your involvement changes lives! A special thank you to Peter Slack for starting the Wyanoke Children's Support Fund in 2005 and for building a legacy of giving across your company, raising just over $250,000 over the last 15 years. Thank you for your 2019 gift of $19,832.

Gifts that Heal
Shout out to each of these groups for recognizing community needs and for taking action to make a difference. Thank you for "investing" your time and resources:
  • Many thanks to ARI Holman Automotive for the donation of 100 Healing Kits - therapeutic games, journals, kinetic sand, and bubbles - for families receiving grief and trauma counseling through Center For Family Services.
  • Thank you to Support Sacks and founder Kim Meehan for the donation of 80 sacks filled with essential items for women in our recovery community. Your help makes it easier for women to focus on one day at a time and tap into inner strengths as they build new lives for themselves!
  • Through the generosity of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield and American Water employees, 150 individuals received kits to support a pathway to recovery. Your partnership creates a community of hope and mutual support to foster long-term recovery.
  • Thank you to the Lady Leaders of Color and Executive Director Trina Scott for collecting personal care items for young women in our care as part of your September Fashion Show.
  • Cheers to Campbell Soup Company employees! From an employee collection for holiday meals (which was one of the largest employee food collections we have ever seen!) to over 50 employees volunteering to support the Holiday Gift Project, you gave hope to many families this year.
  • Thank you to the employees at the Merrill Lynch office in Mount Laurel for a successful pajama drive. Children were excited to receive the pajamas you collected at our holiday themed Winter Wonderland event presented by Camden Promise Neighborhood! Your gift will keep children warm and cozy on winter nights!
Underground Martial Arts Captured Our Hearts
We love Underground Martial Arts! Many thanks to Mark and Jamie Moore and all the UMA families for your generous support in 2019. Your luggage drive and collection of household essentials provided much-needed items to children and families throughout South Jersey. Because of you, children living in our safe homes now have a reliable suitcase to take their belongings with them when they are reunited with family or move to permanent housing. The generosity of the entire Underground Martial Arts community is truly inspiring!
Men Making an Impact
Shout out to the Men of Moorestown! Thank you for combining your love of golf with your passion for supporting people in recovery. Because of your work - to connect with sponsors and rally more than 80 golfers for an outing at Ramblewood Country Club - this year's total was $5,000! These funds help moms care for their children, as they find and maintain their lives in recovery.
The Boutique Network
To Alicia DiMichelle - you are the spark that ignited support from so many caring people across our community. Thank you to you and Maureen and the Alicia DiMichelle Boutique network supporters! You are amazing and because of you, every one of the girls in our homes received very special gifts and a message of kindness.

Dream Team Volunteers
Cheers to mother-daughter duo Sabrina and Arya Duhaney for being recognized as "Volunteers of the Month" during the fall of 2019 at our Community Connections Outreach Center!

Since you began volunteering, you have served more than 40 hours in dedication to Community Connections Outreach Center and earned the nickname "The Dream Team". You're always the first to jump in and assist where needed, whether it's setting up for activities, helping with food service, or preparing for an event.

Thank you for dedicating your free time to service!

Share the Love, Change a Life
Thank you Prestige Family of Dealerships in Turnersville for once again selecting Center For Family Services as your local charity of choice for Subaru of America's "Share the Love" campaign. When you chose locally, you chose to invest in supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking. Because of you, individuals and families in need of counseling, advocacy, and a safe place to live have somewhere to turn.

You're an incredible partner and an asset to our community.
Year Round Support - Annual Corporate Sponsorship
Your Annual Corporate Sponsorship helps to change lives on a year round basis. The corporate, unrestricted funding you provide is urgently needed to fill the gap between the basic cost of providing services and attaining excellence in providing these programs. Your generosity helps to fill these needs. Your Annual Corporate Sponsorship is more than a donation; it is a year-round investment in the future of our community.

Thank you to each and every one of our Annual Sponsors: Westmont Associates, Inc., WSFS/Beneficial Bank, Proforma, Brown & Brown Insurance, Becker's School Supply, PennyGreen, GLK Services, Jess Crate, Campbell's Soup, Conner Strong & Buckelew, Rowan University, IBEW Local 351.
Shore Beauty School Shines!
Thank you to Shore Beauty School for choosing Center For Family Services as the beneficiary of your 10th Annual Runway Hair Show. Between the instructors, make up artists, hair stylists, and their models, the level of talent was unreal. It's no surprise that you were able to raise $3,500 to provide opportunities for young people to pursue their dreams and discover new talents while living in our care. Thank you for inviting us to be a part of such a special night!
Family & Friends Move our Mission Forward
Facebook Fundraisers have been an amazing source of community support! Thank you Troy Gerard, Janeni Nayagan, Nyeema Watson, and Joe Weidling for making Center For Family Services the charity of your choice.

Thank you to staff members Sue Long, Theresa Carlin, Elizabeth Madden, Ginny DeLong, Elia Hopkins, Stacy Santiago, Shannon Ryan, and Lynn Perlmutter for donating your birthday and encouraging family and friends to support your work!

Because of you, help is available to LGBTQ+ youth, individuals in recovery, early learners, families coping with loss, and so many more who need help.

Together you raised over $6,300 to support children and families enrolled in our services. It's amazing to see the enthusiasm of your family and friends who gave to the agency to support the causes you are passionate about.

Financially Fit
Thank you to our friends at Santander Bank for providing our PowerCorps Camden team members with a financial literacy training focused on how to: create a budget, reduce debt, and save for the future. The Santander Bank Financial Literacy Training has made a difference in their lives!
Making Spirits Bright
Thank you to Allison Anne Studios and everyone who participated in Allison's Making Spirits Bright holiday photo sessions. Together, you raised over $1,400! These funds provided gifts, hope, and a merry Christmas morning for hundreds of local children and teens.

Allison, your talent and passion for your community is exceptional. We are grateful for your support.
Improving the Lives of Seniors and Disabled Adults

Thank you to retired staff member June Siegel for your generous gift to build capacity and expand services to support seniors and grandparents raising grandchildren. Your gift provides a greater quality of life to seniors and adults with disabilities, as well as support and hope to grandparents raising grandchildren.
Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through Service
Thank you to our AmeriCorps members who dedicated their time and energy on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. While you have made a long-term commitment to service, your dedication and generosity always show the most on this day. You make it a "day on" not a day off, and this year, because of you, 53 individuals who are experiencing homelessness due to addiction will be warmer this winter thanks to blankets that you made.

You are an inspiration!
Building a Better Camden Community
Thank you to Aramark for selecting Center For Family Services as your local partner for "Aramark Building Communities Day". Your team of 100 employees, alongside the City Year team and our PowerCorps team, transformed our Pine Street center in just one day! Classrooms received fresh coats of paint, new seating areas were constructed, and a community garden was created outside. You created a welcoming environment for families to come and enjoy. We continue to be amazed by your volunteer spirit.
Sesame Partnership Opens Another "Comfy" Space
Shout out to Sesame Workshop through the Sesame Street in Communities (SSIC) initiative for creating Comfy Cozy spaces that help families to feel safe, comfortable, engaged and heard. The Comfy Cozy space provides access to materials that speak to complex issues such as incarceration, reintegration, substance use, trauma, and violence. Parents have the opportunity to connect to resources including an online portal, videos and books. Thank you for supporting our Camden City families with these resources!
Thank You Again
