Dear Chamber Friends,

As I begin my ninth month as President of the Colerain Chamber of Commerce, I continue to be grateful for the opportunity to serve our members and community. I am proud of Colerain Township and proud to live, work and play in a community with so many dedicated businesses, organizations and individuals.

These first months have been filled with CONNECTION! I have done a lot of listening, learning and building relationships. I have asked for your feedback, and I want you to know that I am listening. Education and professional development have consistently emerged as priorities, so we are exploring new opportunities to help our members and their teams learn, grow and succeed.

Like any organization, we have experienced change. We have said goodbye to some members while welcoming new businesses and organizations into our Chamber family. Through it all, we have continued creating meaningful connections through events like our Women’s Networking, Third Thursday, Colerain H.O.P.E. and C.A.F.E. Furthermore, we have continued providing our members with valuable chamber benefits though the Southern Ohio Chamber Alliance (SOCA).

We are also excited to introduce Coffee With Champions in October. This new monthly program will offer practical leadership insights, encouragement and education, all within a focused 59-minute format. I cannot wait to introduce this program to Colerain and would love for you to join us!

Thank you for embracing the new look and feel of our newsletter. Your participation in Spark Shots has been especially fun! Seeing the personality, creativity and people behind our Chamber partners reminds us that our organization is about much more than businesses, it is about relationships. I highly encourage you and your team to participate in the next Spark Shots contest. Sometimes, all it takes is a little spark of creativity to ignite a real enthusiasm and collaboration within a team. We’d love to see what your group can capture through the lens.

As we head into the fall and winter months, I look forward to continuing to listen, learn and build alongside you. Your voice matters to me! Whether you have feedback on our events, a new idea to share, or just to let me know how your business is doing, please reach out directly to me via email or phone and let me know how I can support you.

I also encourage you to invite another business or organization to join us. The more voices, ideas and relationships we bring together, the stronger our Chamber -and our entire community - will become.

Together, we are building strong businesses and a stronger community.

♻️ RUMPKE'S RECYCLING TIP OF THE MONTH

Recycle Right: Keep It Loose!

Did you know recyclables should be placed loose—not bagged—in your curbside recycling container or recycling dropbox? Keeping items loose helps ensure they can be properly sorted and recycled.

What can you recycle? Plastic bottles, jugs, tubs and cups; metal cans and cups; glass bottles and jars; and paper, cardboard, cartons and cups.

🌎 Want to Learn More?

Chamber member Rumpke offers FREE waste and recycling presentations for businesses, schools and organizations! Learn about proper recycling, waste reduction and what happens to your materials after they're collected.

You can even take a behind-the-scenes facility tour to see the recycling process firsthand.

📧 To schedule a presentation, contact Hannah Hengehold at hannah.hengehold@rumpke.com

To schedule a tour, fill out the tour request form on our website.

You can keep your business comfortable this summer without overspending on energy by making a few simple, proactive changes.

Start with your HVAC settings: raising the thermostat just a couple of degrees can noticeably cut cooling costs while still keeping staff and customers comfortable.

Basic maintenance goes a long way toward lowering bills.

  • Changing HVAC filters regularly helps your system run more efficiently, reducing strain on equipment and preventing wasted energy as air is pushed through clogged filters.

Chamber members also have access to expert help through the Chamber Energy Program. By requesting a free bill review at chamberenergyprogram.com, businesses can identify patterns in their summer usage and uncover simple operational adjustments that make a real difference in monthly costs.
