Annual Fund 2018-2019
We can’t BEAR not to have your BEAR in the lobby! If you haven’t sent yours in yet along with your donation form it is not too late. The first class to reach 100% participation by 12/31/18 will win a Pajama Day, and the class that raises the most money by the same date will win an after-school Movie and Ice Cream Sundae Party in January!

The theme for this year’s Annual Fund is “Experience the Power of 100%!” Our goal is for 100% of St. John’s families to support the Annual Fund this year to help us reach our goal of $45,000. This campaign is our top fundraiser and is critical to the School’s daily operating budget.
Every gift impacts every student. Donations in any amount are welcome and are tax deductible. Be sure to check with your employer to see if they offer a matching gift program. Many corporations match their employee’s gift dollar-for-dollar (or more!).
For more information about Annual Fund or Planned Giving opportunities, please contact Lisa Hermodsson, Director of Development, at [email protected] .

St. John's Episcopal Church Event
Join us for an All Saints Sunday Parish Supper! On this day, we celebrate the Church’s faithful witness to Christ across generations of ordinary people seeking to follow Jesus. We also call to mind especially the loved ones in our lives who we love but see no longer.

Join with St. John’s families and friends for food and fellowship hosted by J2A in honor of all the saints who have been part of our lives. We will draw on the themes of the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos with a Mexican meal, face-painting and crafts, and creating an Altar de los Muertos in memory of those we love. Please bring framed or printed photographs and other objects of remembrance. Cost is $35 for a family of four, $12/adult, and $7/children 10 and under. Pay at the door. Proceeds benefit the 2020 J2A Pilgrimage.

Invitations went out this week to Grandparents and Grandfriends for the much anticipated annual event. Names and addresses were generated from the Grandparent Information Form found online from the summer mailing so if you did not complete the form or need to invite an alternate guest, please contact Lisa Hermodsson at [email protected].

There will be 3 sessions so please confirm with your guest that they will be attending the correct one. Used Uniforms Sales!
It is that time of the year where the temperatures fall, and we start to look for warmer uniforms for our children. We will be hosting a used uniform sale during our Fall Family Fun Day, so that parents can pick up additional clothes for the colder months. We will offer gently used conforming uniform pieces for girls and boys Each Lands’ End piece of clothing will be sold for $5. Check (made payable to St. John’s Parish Day School Parents Association), or credit card is preferred.

So, while the children are enjoying the festivities, head on over to the used uniform table to pick up some additional clothes. Please note that this will be the last used uniform sale this year , so if you are in need of some extra pieces, now is the time to grab them! Additionally, you may purchase Spirit Wear apparel during the sale. Under Armor hoodies and more will be available!  See you soon! And thank you for your continued support!!

Questions? Please contact the Used Uniform Chair Stephanie Vice at [email protected].

Scrip Vendor Spotlight

Did you know you could buy Scrip gift cards for your Safeway purchases?  If you order a Scrip e-card for Safeway, the SJPDS PA receives 4% of the face value. Just another way that your every day purchases can help support the school and your children.
Clark House Parking
Don’t you love when you pull up and see there is an empty parking spot in front of Clark House? Please be mindful that one of the spots is the PA Volunteer Spot and one is the Gala Parking Spot. While it is tempting to park in one of these spaces because you are “just running in for a minute” please refrain from parking there if the space is not yours. It is very frustrating for the families who have the spots to arrive and find another car parked there.

The good news is there are 2 ways for you to get 1 of the coveted spots. First, the PA chooses a volunteer to have one of the spots for the entire month so the more you volunteer, the better your chances! The other way is to bid on the spot at the Gala or Mini Gala each year. In the silent auction you have the opportunity to win the Gala Parking Spot for the 1 st  or 2 nd  half of the year. Thank you for your compliance.
