BECOMING BELOVED COMMUNITY
is an invitation by our Episcopal Presiding Bishop Michael Curry to more fully live out our baptismal promises to
Persevere in resisting evil, and whenever we fall into sin, repent and return to the Lord;
Proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ;
Seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves; and
Strive for justice and peace among all peoples and respect the dignity of every human being.
Lent is an opportunity to look at our hearts and intentions in following Jesus.
St. Luke’s is responding by hosting five 45 minute gatherings (5:00 – 5:45 pm) on Tuesdays that invite us to connect baptismal promises, scripture, and discussion.
Come to the Parish Hall at 5pm on Tuesdays March 12, 19, and 26 and April 2 and 9.
Most definitely bring a friend. No RSVP required.

IN HONOR OF OUR LOVED ONES...
“Many years ago when the Church extended the seating by installing more pews we had a campaign to raise money by “Selling Pews.” A pew “In Memory Of” (if deceased) and “In Honor Of” (if still living) was available for $200. This was acknowledged by an engraved brass plate mounted on plaques which are displayed on the walls of the church and will be there for posterity! This is a wonderful way of having loved ones, or oneself, remembered - lovely to be able to see their names FOR EVER in St. Luke’s Church, and your gift will help to maintain our wonderful Church! Please contact Marie in the church office via email at firstname.lastname@example.org for forms, or speak to Pat Reed.
CLAIM YOUR MUG!!!!
In the Parish Hall kitchen the Mug Rack holds all our eco-minded parishioners’ ceramic, St. Luke’s mugs. We are not sure how many are in use and who else would like one. For the next four weeks, please find your mug on the nearby table and place on the rack. Claimed. Unclaimed will be removed after that time.
If you want a mug, please sign up on the list taped to the table so we know if there is any interest – NO obligation to buy. Once Marie has found our “source” we will publish the price and you can confirm you are on the list. Thank you so much.
The position of Parish Rep is now being filled by Arlene Brammer. DAUGHTERS OF THE KING
The ORDER of the Daughters of the King is primarily a vow of prayer and service. We pray daily for Reverend Carol, this parish, and the names on the prayer list. We do need your help in letting the office know when someone can be taken off the list. We have prayer blankets & shawls in the back of the church, we ENCOURAGE you to take one & give it to someone in need. You will be hearing more about this ministry as we develop our “Prayer Well.” - Debbie Dwyer, DOK President
LAHIA FEEDING MINISTRY
We are needing some volunteers for the LAHIA Feeding Ministry. We hope to find a total of six volunteers; two volunteers to make sandwiches either the first, third or fourth weeks of the month. This is a commitment that would go through 2019, which would mean that each volunteer would make sandwiches a total of 12 times. If you can possibly volunteer for this outreach, please contact Skip Racette at
or by calling 413-347-1122.
St. Luke’s is in need of singers!
The choir seriously needs your help, and as we head into Lent and Easter, your voice and time would be deeply appreciated! Please! join our rehearsal in the sanctuary at 6:30pm on Wednesdays or in the office building at 9am on Sundays or -both! We will welcome all volunteers and make your gift of song one you will enjoy giving. Please see Anne Hlasnicek or contact Russell McFee at email@example.com if you are interested.
