CSF Encourages U.S. Forest Service to Improve its NEPA Process
In response to the United States Forest Service's (USFS) proposal to revise its National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) procedures, the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF) submitted a letter on February 2 encouraging the USFS to streamline its environmental analysis process to save time and resources which would allow the agency to conduct more fuel treatment and habitat restoration projects.

Idaho: Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus Hosts Lunch on Chronic Wasting Disease
On February 14, the Idaho Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus, along with the Caucus advisory council and the Idaho Sportsmen's Alliance, hosted an informational briefing for legislators on Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD). CWD is a contagious neurological disease affecting members of the cervid family, including deer, elk and moose. Once contracted, the disease is always fatal. Read More > >

Indiana: Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus Supports Strong Conservation Title in Farm Bill 
On February 14, the leaders of the Indiana Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus submitted a letter to the state's congressional delegation, Governors Sportsmen's Caucus Member Governor Eric Holcomb, and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources supporting a strong conservation title in the 2018 reauthorization of the Farm Bill.

New Hampshire: New Members Welcomed at Annual Caucus Luncheon
On February 8, the bipartisan and bicameral New Hampshire Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus held its first event of the year - their Annual Caucus Luncheon. The event was held in Concord, New Hampshire, and brought together over 40 legislators, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, and key partners from supportive organizations.
