Illinois: Crossbow Hunting during Archery Season Now Legal
On September 8, Governors Sportsmen's Caucus member Governor Bruce Rauner signed IL HB 2893 into law, which allows Illinois hunters to use crossbows to harvest wildlife during any archery seasons. The law goes into effect immediately. Previously, only certain hunters with a disability or hunters aged 62 and older or 18 years and younger were allowed to use crossbows during archery season.  Read More > >

Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation and National Wildlife Federation Join Forces for Conservation
During the Congressional Sportsmen's  Foundation's (CSF) Annual
Banquet & Auction on September 13, CSF and the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in order to enhance the organizations' shared goals of advancing wildlife conservation across the country.

Registration is now open for the 14th Annual National Assembly of Sportsmen's Caucuses (NASC) Sportsman-Legislator Summit. The NASC Sportsman-Legislator Summit is the most important event of the year for caucus members and partners. Now in its 14th year, this annual meeting serves as the ideal venue for focused discussion and interaction between and among state policy makers, sportsmen's NGO representatives, and outdoor industry partners from around the nation.
