Midwest: Iowa, Nebraska Governors Host National Hunting and Fishing Day Proclamation Signing Ceremonies
On September 20, Governors Sportsmen's Caucus (GSC) member Governor Pete Ricketts hosted a proclamation signing ceremony in honor of National Hunting and Fishing Day. The following day, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds hosted a signing ceremony recognizing National Hunting and Fishing Day in Iowa. The proclamations recognized the immense contributions of Nebraskan and Iowan hunters and anglers to each state's economy and conservation funding.

Kansas: State Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus to Host Pheasant Hunt, Reception
On October 4 and 5, the Kansas Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus will be hosting their annual fall pheasant hunt. The hunt will take place this year at Ravenwood Lodge outside of Topeka, Kansas. The event begins with a reception, silent auction, and shotgun raffle on the evening of the October 4. The next day, Caucus members and local partners will take to the field in a European-style pheasant hunt, concluding with a luncheon and speeches about the importance of hunters and anglers to the economy and conservation funding in the state.

Registration is now open for the 14th Annual National Assembly of Sportsmen's Caucuses (NASC) Sportsman-Legislator Summit. The NASC Sportsman-Legislator Summit is the most important event of the year for caucus members and partners. Now in its 14th year, this annual meeting serves as the ideal venue for focused discussion and interaction between and among state policy makers, sportsmen's NGO representatives, and outdoor industry partners from around the nation.
