2025 Homecoming

February 16 - 22, 2025


Texas A&M University-San Antonio is making history with its first official Homecoming! The week will be about building Jaguar traditions, bringing the campus community together, and celebrating school spirit. This year's theme is "Deep in the Heart of Texas."

Homecoming Team Competitions


Student organizations and university departments, get ready to compete for the Homecoming "BUCKLE" Trophy through a week of fun events. Teams will compete to earn points in up to five events throughout the week. The team with the most points across all events wins.


Who Can Participate?


All students, student organizations and university departments may participate. Student organizations need a minimum of five students to participate. Departments need a minimum of five students, faculty and/or staff.


Deadline to Register: Friday, Feb. 9, by 11:59 p.m.

Feb. 16 | 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Spirit Board Decorating – Design a board showcasing school pride


Feb. 18 | 6-8 p.m.

Saddle Up Relay – Navigate a Western-themed obstacle course


Feb. 19 | 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

Chili Cook-Off – Compete for the title of Top Chili Cowboy


Feb. 19 | 6-8 p.m.

Texas Trivia – Test your knowledge of Texas history and culture

Nominate Your 2025 Jaguar Royalty

Nominations are open for Jaguar Royalty and the Royal Court. This tradition recognizes student leaders who exemplify school spirit, leadership, and excellence.


Nomination Process


Student organizations and university departments may nominate up to two candidates. Self-nominations are not allowed. Please confirm with your nominee before submitting.


Nominate a deserving student who represents Jaguar pride and campus traditions.

Join the Paws to Lead Mentorship Program


As a mentor, you’ll dedicate just three hours each month to connect with and support your mentee by building meaningful relationships and empowering future leaders.


Program Timeline:

San Antonio Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program


Students in the A&M-SA College of Business and the City of San Antonio Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program are providing FREE income tax return preparation services February 26-27 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. to eligible A&M-SA community members. Services will be provided by in-person appointments on campus.

JAGRISE is an annual showcase of exciting new scholarship from our undergraduate and graduate students, and our faculty at A&M-San Antonio.

University Highlights

Students Present on Historic Legal Case at National Conference


Graduate students, Kathryn Miller and Nathan Cruz, presented their research on the historic Ethan Crumbley case at the Education Law Association’s annual conference. Their work explored parental liability in school shootings and its implications for educational law and school safety. As they prepare for graduation, both students are already planning their next research presentation for the upcoming ELA conference

Reminders

Bookstore Moving to Madla Building in February


The University Bookstore will be closed Feb. 7 and is moving from its current location in the Central Academic Building to the Madla Building on Feb. 10. The current Bookstore location will be renovated into a lounge for the campus community.

Spring 2025 Library Hours


The University Library will begin our expanded hours on the first day of the Spring 2025 semester. Their hours will be:


Monday-Thursday | 8 a.m.-12 a.m.

Friday - Saturday | 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

Sunday | 1 p.m. - 12 a.m.
