The St. Philip's Choir Sings the National Anthem at the Joe
by Patricia M. Gould, Organist/Choirmaster
This past Sunday after church, some 20 members of the St Philip’s Choir were joined by a few members of the Charleston Men’s Chorus and other friends as we sang the National Anthem at the beginning of a Citadel Baseball game. What a thrill to sing this anthem to God and country! Thank you to all who participated and came out to support us. Well done, good and faithful servants!

During our weekly meeting last Tuesday, the staff of St. Philip’s enjoyed passing around this offering envelope with a sketch of a boy receiving communion. There was a check inside, so we didn’t think there was any mystery to solve about the artist’s identity––we assumed the check writer and artist were one and the same.
But we were wrong! The check writer had found this envelope in the pew and decided to use it. Thank you, anonymous artist, for this sketch. We hope to find more in the weeks to come!

Julio’s Freedom to Dream
by Megan Staub, published on watermission.org
When Julio Zamora dreams of the future, he imagines a world of opportunity for his family and community. It’s a world where his three daughters can attend college and pursue careers, and where his rural village of Nina Rumi, Peru, can grow and become “more beautiful than it already is.” Thanks to friends like you, those dreams are one step closer to being realized.
Two years ago, Water Mission installed a safe water treatment solution for the 1,000 residents of Nina Rumi. We worked closely with Julio, the pastor of a local church, to support and engage the community as they learned about healthy hygiene behaviors and the ongoing maintenance of the treatment system.

Women's Lenten Bible Study
Mondays in Lent ~ 9:00 a.m. in the Parlor
The first meeting of Martha Vetter's five-week Lenten study was on Monday, and the study will continue each week leading up to Holy Week. We will be examining different biblical symbols from the Holy Week narrative and making applications to our own lives. These symbols include the alabaster jar that was broken, broken bread and poured out wine, the seed that was buried, the veil that was rent, and the stone that was rolled away.
Join us to discover deepened truths from these Lenten treasures!
