The Start of a Great Year
Pentecost 2018 Laughing Sarah Aimee

Grace and peace be with you in the name of God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

I am so excited to be writing to you in anticipation of the start of our program year! This Sunday, Adult and Children Sunday schools will start (and just a reminder that our nursery also opens at 9:15). Youth group activities will begin Sunday evening.  We have begun delivering our bags of food for our Blessings in a Backpack program. Book studies, family programs, fellowship groups, choir in church, and special events are all starting or right around the corner. I have been waiting for the chance to enter this year and I can't wait for all we will get to do together.

As I always say to people when we meet about joining Holy Spirit, we are a grace-centric church. We don't shame people or guilt people into attendance or participation. That said, I do want to encourage you to dive into the year with Holy Spirit. The more you come to church the more you will get out of being here. The more you participate in the fellowship and formation opportunities the more grounded your faith will be and the more connection you will have to your fellow Holy Spiriters. My experience is that Holy Spirit is a joyful place and a place that feeds my soul and brings meaning to my life. It is a true blessing that we all get to come together and be a part of what God is doing in our community and our lives.

I am so excited to experience all the things that make our shared life of faith so special...and I am so excited to share it with you. Join us Sunday for the start of a great year ahead!

See you in church,

The Enneagram is a model of 9 interconnected personality type s which stands apart from other personality typing systems because of its unique focus on spiritual growth. It is a tool that helps us to shape the path between our relationships with ourselves and one another, and the path in our relationship with God.

The book "The Road Back to You: An Enneagram Journey to Self-Discovery" (Cron/Stabile) as our guide during this six-session series.
