Census Webinar and Resources for ITGA Members

ITGA encourages members to view a recent webinar hosted by the ICMA, the National League of Cities (NLC), and the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) on proposed U.S. Census Bureau rule changes under consideration for the 2030 Census.

These changes could affect how college and university populations are counted, with potential implications for community representation, planning, and funding. The webinar, "The 2030 Census Rule Change: What It Means for Counting Your Community," provides an overview of the proposal, its potential impacts, and current advocacy efforts.

What You Can Do: Review the webinar materials, assess how the proposed changes could affect your community and institution, and consider submitting comments to the U.S. Census Bureau before the November 2 deadline.

We are working closely with partner organizations on this issue and will continue to share updates with ITGA members.
