The Treadplate Line

a familiar style...

Rigidized® Metals' tread plates, originating in 1989 with our RTP® pattern, and continuing with our RSS.3, STP and XTP patterns, can be made from any metal sheet, including any grade of stainless steel, any aluminum alloy and zinc-coated metal (galvanized or galvanneal carbon steel). Rigidized® Metals can produce all of these metals in four different tread patterns to appeal to any application. Truck body and trailer manufacturers have a choice in specifying a tread plate product that fits every metal requirement.

...with increased durability, and less weight...

One of the most significant benefits of the Rigidized® Metals deep-texturing process is its ability to produce tread plate patterns in a wide range of thicknesses. Similarly, the constant challenge to any truck body manufacturer, these days, is to reduce the overall weight of each unit. This is another major reason to choose Rigidized® Metals tread plate.

The availability of lighter gauges allows these patterns to be used in decorative, but still functional, areas, such as door liners, toolboxes and covers.

...for a greener future.

Manufacturers of utility vehicles and truck bodies recognize the value in saving weight by using design-strengthened three-dimensional Rigidized® deep-textured metals. Deep texturing adds strength, allowing for the use of lighter gauges resulting in greater fuel economy and reduced vehicle maintenance.

All of our tread plate patterns are available in several alloys, and our original, RTP®, is also available powder coated and highlighted, should you choose to add color to your installation.
