Exclusive Book Talk and Signing Event!
Thursday, May 24: 6 PM - 7 PM at The Stram Center (Delmar)

J oin investigative reporter Mary Beth Pfeiffer at The Stram Center on Thursday, May 24th from 6 PM - 7 PM for an exclusive book talk/signing event at The Stram Center.

In her new book, Lyme: The First Epidemic of Climate Change, Pfeiffer takes a comprehensive, even-handed look at the "Lyme wars" - on one side, there are doctors who strictly follow the Infectious Disease Society of America guidelines on Lyme, which have been criticized as biased and were subjected to an antitrust investigation. On the other side are the patients and doctors who have experience with chronic or late-stage Lyme disease, which causes joint pain, cognitive impairment, and is sometimes treated with long courses of antibiotics (which the guidelines do not support).

Effective May 31st, Natasha Ruiz, Family Nurse Practitioner, is leaving and will no longer be affiliated with the Stram Center. She will be working independently in her own solo practice in Syracuse, NY at "Integrative Practitioners" and at the "Jai Yoga School" in Slingerlands, NY.

We are proud of Natasha who has grown as a nurse practitioner at the Stram Center and now feels confident to start her own solo practice. Dr. Stram and the entire staff wish her well and much success in continuing to provide quality care for her patients.

If you are a patient of Natasha's, you may continue your care at The Stram Center by scheduling your next appointment with Dr. Stram or one of the providers who work under his guidance and expertise.

"A Grateful Farewell" from Natasha:

"Over the past 4.5 years, I have had the privilege to work at the Stram Center for Integrative Medicine. I've been fortunate enough to have a platform where I can treat my patients in a holistic way. Focusing on diet, exercise, stress management, sleep and spirituality has assisted patients in achieving optimal health.

I've also had the honor to work and collaborate with amazing health care practitioners and support staff. Collectively, we've been able to create an experience that make people feel safe, heard and cared for without dismissing their concerns or judgment.

It is with sincere gratitude that I am announcing my last day at the Stram Center will be May 30th, 2018. I will be venturing out as an independent integrative/functional medicine practitioner." -Natasha Ruiz, FNP
