Ayurvedic Herbal Formulas May Help BPH

June is Men's Health Month
Evidence-based research supports the use of Ayurvedic herbal formulas for men with BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia). BPH refers to enlargement of the prostate that commonly occurs with age in men.

Oh, My Aching Head!
Headaches, according to the CDC, cost about $2.5 billion per year in lost productivity and missed work. About 1 in 4 households have at least one person who suffers from migraines with women outnumbering men 3:1. Headaches are a large category including migraine, sinus, ocular, hormonal and tension as just some of the types.
Cang Er Zi For Headaches From Allergies & Colds
Cang er zi, also known as xanthium seed, is on my go to list for conditions related to allergies and colds. This widely used herb is combined within an herbal formula where its prime use is for rhinitis and sinusitis: nasal congestion, itching and sneezing. Xanthium seed is also used for sharp stabbing occipital headaches related to colds.
The Stram Center Welcomes: Satish Mohan ND, RN

I believe that health is an active process maintained through cultivating awareness, intention, lifestyle choices and therapies that support the body's innate ability to heal itself. If illness arises, its underlying cause is unique for each person and requires thorough assessment and individualized treatment. The whole person must be considered, including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects, to facilitate healing. I hope to empower patients with understanding and tools to prevent disease and support health.

Best Wishes Kirsten Carle, ND and Jennifer Goldstock, ANP

Effective June 29, 2018, Kirsten Carle, ND will have resigned and no longer be affiliated with the Stram Center. She will be working independently in her own solo practice with an office in Syracuse, NY and in Slingerlands, NY.

A Grateful Farewell from Kirsten:
Effective June 29th, after more than five years at the Stram Center for Integrative Medicine, I will be leaving both the Delmar and Bennington locations to work independently with offices in Slingerlands and Syracuse, New York.  As a new naturopathic medical school graduate, the Stram Center gave me my first position as a naturopathic doctor, providing me with the opportunity to cultivate the dynamic art of naturopathic medicine. I am grateful for the experience gained and the collaboration shared with a variety of talented and caring colleagues in both administration and healthcare.  Now it is time for me to begin a new chapter that will help me to continue to grow in different ways as a naturopathic doctor, with the end goal of being better equipped to aid people in their quest for optimal health and well-being. Most of all, I wish to thank my past and current patients, who have allowed me to be a part of their unique and powerful healing journeys. Please know that it has been a privilege as all of you have truly been my greatest teachers."

Effective June 29, 2018, Jennifer Goldstock, ANP, will also have resigned from her employment with the Stram Center and will be venturing out on her own in an independent solo practice in Latham, NY, effective August 1, 2018. Jennifer will no longer be affiliated with the Stram Center as an independent adult nurse practitioner in her solo practice.

Dr. Stram and the entire staff wish both Kirsten and Jennifer well in the next chapter of their professions in caring for patients.

The continuity of your care is very important to us. If you are a patient of Kirsten's or Jennifer's, you may continue your care at The Stram Center by scheduling your next appointment with Dr. Stram or one of the providers who work under his direct guidance and expertise.
