Hello Julie,

Employer brands are a hot topic thanks to the “The Great Resignation.” That's because corporate recruiters have now embraced branding and workplace storytelling as an important strategy to attract employees.

Brand strategists have always considered brand-building to be an inside-out process that starts with employees. They're the first audience a brand roll-out needs to win over because they're the ones who will deliver on the brand promise to customers. The strongest brands are those where the cultural alignment is high. That’s what separates Patagonia and Apple from Old Navy and Facebook Meta.

With today’s tight labor market and work-from-home trend, we're taking a closer look at the relationship between brands and cultures.

Cheers,

Julie Wright

LEADERSHIP

MEET WOC AVP CHANCELOR SHAY

WOC Chance_Promotion_LI_1200.jpg

With close to 12 years leading and supporting successful client partner programs at (W)right On Communications, Chancelor Shay was recently named Associate Vice President.

After a dozen years, he has also revealed the full story behind his internship interview at WOC!

“I left my college apartment an hour before the interview to be sure I wasn't late. I got to my truck only to find I had a flat tire. I wasn't sure I had enough time to put on the spare (or that I'd be able to get the grease off my hands), so I hopped on my street bike and rode up the I-5 wearing a borrowed suit jacket. As I was fixing my helmet hair in the bathroom before walking in the door of (W)right On Communications, Inc. I thought, ‘This is either foreshadowing bad things to come or will be a fun story to tell down the road.’"

We're happy to say that it was the latter! A great collaboration began that day. And the same determination and creativity that propelled Chance to our door back in January 2010 has been serving our client partners and team every since.
