Hello Julie,

The news media has undergone many changes over the last decade, impacting how news is reported, produced and consumed.

Understanding how this affects the role traditional news plays in our communities, how we get and assess news and information, and the limitations and opportunities it presents is essential for business leaders and communicators.

This is the first issue of our newsletter to be curated by Terry Whitaker, our Associate Vice-President, Lifestyle and Consumer. He chose a focus that’s important not just to communicators, but to our democracy. I hope you enjoy and learn from these quick, hot takes as much as I have.

As communicators, our currency today is trust. And whether we’re working with paid influencers or the Wall Street Journal, we approach our own work with respect for anyone who is building an audience through social media or reporting journalistically and upholding fairness, accuracy, and trust.

Cheers,

Julie Wright
