April is Stress Awareness Month, a national observance focused on recognizing how stress impacts our health and day-to-day life. It’s a good time to take stock of what’s working for you, what’s not, and where changes can help. Practice setting clearer boundaries and making time to recharge. Also check out RebelWELL's events focused on stress management this month.

Earth Month

April is also Earth Month, which is a reminder that our environment plays a direct role in our well-being. You can explore UNLV environmental wellness resources below, too.

Environmental Wellness Resources

UNLV Community Garden

The UNLV Campus Community Garden is a vibrant space dedicated to growth and education, teaching individuals how to cultivate their own food using 100% organic gardening practices. The garden features 41 raised garden plots that are available for registration every fall semester. To become a UNLV Garden Member, groups of at least four members are required (limited to UNLV students, RSOs, staff, and faculty). Contact UNLV Campus Community Garden for more information.

Rebel Recycling

The Rebel Recycling program serves the UNLV community by raising awareness of the benefits of sustainable living. This program reduces air pollution and conserves water, landfill space, finite and renewable resources, and energy. Rebel Recycling supports Nevada’s state recycling goal of 25%, avoids landfill fees for the university, and supports UNLV's Sustainability Council’s initiatives.

UNLV faculty, staff, and students can improve environmental wellness by utilizing Rebel Recycling's Drive Up, Drop Off (DUDO) recycling program. See more on the DUDO website.

Save the Date for Open Enrollment and Wellness Fair

May 12, 2026 | Student Union

11 a.m to 4 p.m.

Join us for the Open Enrollment and Wellness Fair on May 12. This event is open to all UNLV faculty and staff. Our goal at the end of this day is to help you feel informed about your UNLV benefits, connected to resources, and supported as you seek to improve your wellbeing.

The event is composed of two parts: the Open Enrollment and Wellness Resource Fair and RebelWELL Pathways to Wellness sessions. At the fair, you’ll be able to connect with benefits providers, campus partners, and wellness organizations. This is a great opportunity to ask questions about your options for healthcare, dental, and voluntary benefits. Additionally, you’ll learn about health resources and wellness programs that support your health, well-being, and work life balance. The fair will be open throughout the day in Room 208, so feel free to drop in whenever it works best for you.

The RebelWELL Pathways to Wellness sessions will be offered throughout the day in nearby breakout rooms. These short, practical sessions focus on areas such as financial, physical, emotional, and occupational health and include time for questions and conversation.

Come by for a few minutes or explore all afternoon. More details, including the session schedule, coming soon.
