The prospect of a fresh start is always an exciting one.  A clean sheet...an open book...a chance to start again. 2019 is the year to bring into being new inspiration, goals and dreams to create the life you want to live.

We at the studio will be right here beside you to help you achieve your health and fitness goals, and hopefully some of your other aspirations as well.

We also have a list of our own goals to accomplish to make this the best year at the studio ever!

New You, New Year's 30 Day Challenge

With a new year, comes reflecting and re-evaluating our life AND fitness goals.

It's always a tough time to start a new fitness routine after perhaps a few to many overindulgences during the holiday season, so why not participate in our challenge?!

The New You, New Years Challenge begins on January 10th and finishes on February 8th...just in time for Valentine's day! The goal is to complete 30 of any of our classes in 30 days.

If you complete 30 classes in 30 days, you win one free month of unlimited classes...sweet!

The cost is $99.00 for non-members and $20.00 for members.  

*Members*...If you have a limited pass, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to try all of the other classes we offer at the studio.

New Year, New Teachers, New Classes & More

We would like to extend a warm welcome to two new teachers who have joined us here at the studio ...Joelle and Kristi. Welcome ladies!

Joelle completed her Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in 2015 (along with Glen) in Thailand. 

Joelle and Kristi both completed their Yin Yoga training with Bernie Clark at Semperviva.  

Having said that, we have added a Yin Yoga class to the schedule on Wednesdays at 1:30pm. This is a 60 minute class and the first class will be on January 9th.  We hope to offer even more Yin Yoga in February.

In addition to Yin Yoga, we are adding two, half hour HIIT-X classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30am and with the increasing popularity of our HIIT classes, we welcome back HIIT on Saturdays at 12:30pm.

A little bit about Joelle

If you practice Bikram Yoga, you get it. If you haven't tried yet, or it's been a while, give it a try and try again. A sign saying "never too old, never too bad, never too late, or too sick to start from scratch again" greeted me. It has been part of my life ever since. I attended Bikram teacher training in Thailand in Spring 2015. I have had the opportunity to teach and practice ever since. Every time on the mat is a gift, and I enjoy every moment in whatever form it arrives.

I spent most of my life in Michigan working as a nurse. I have been fortunate in life and experience to have arrived, with my partner in crime, in the Comox Valley. I also teach Yin and have completed a 200 RYTT and a 50 hour Yin training with Bernie Clark. I look forward to practicing with you.

A little bit about Kristi

My practice began over 20 years ago; a Rodney Yee VHS I begged my mom to buy me from London Drugs. I'm not sure what drew me to it, but I played it several times a week. Young and active, I immediately felt a shift in my body and the way I started to feel after the practice.  At 14 I realized  yoga is magic.

About 4 years later I stumbled upon my first yoga studio in Whistler, Bikram Yoga.  I still remember my first class.  I can't tell you I enjoyed myself, but by the second class I fell in love. The rest is history.

I'm grateful that I've been able to study many lineages of yoga and I credit my love of yoga to all of my amazing teachers.

I look forward to sharing the Yin practice and meeting more of The Studio community.
Vision Board Class

In the spirit of "New Year, New You", Natasha will be helping us all find some creativity and inspiration with a vision board class.

Start collecting quotes, magazines or photos of things that bring you inspiration and joy.  Consider what your goals for 2019 are going to be. 

Bring your ideas and vision to the studio along with a pair of scissors and your happy smiling face and we will provide the rest.

The cost is $10 and the class will be held on January 19th at 6:30 pm.

Because we have to buy supplies, please sign up in advance on the sheet at the front desk or click here to register your interest.

Silent Candlelit Class

Experience a magical Silent Candlelit Bikram Yoga class with Natasha on Sunday, January 27th at 3:30pm.

This class requires you to have 10 Bikram Yoga classes under your belt to participate and is an experience not to be missed!

More Barre & Barre Express at lunch

We think you mean Barre Burn when you say Barre Express and we have 3 Barre classes at noon and another at 11:00am (which is pretty close), so 4 out of 7 isn't too bad.

If we added more we would have to take away BYX or HIIT and that would be disappointing to other students...so for now we will keep it as it is.

We need early classes.  Please keep the Barre and add more Hot HIIT for people who work 9-5 Monday to Sunday.

We have added two trial 1/2 hour HIIT-X classes Tuesday and Thursday mornings.  If these classes have high attendance we can add more early morning classes.  Tell your friends, and help get these classes up to where we can keep them and add more classes in the morning.  We are keeping the Barre Burn class as long as students attend and want them.

We've had many different early morning classes at various times. Believe us we've tried!! Unfortunately attendance was too low. But never say never....and so here we have HIIT-X! Let's see how it goes.
