Community Comes Together to Celebrate Scarsdale's 325th Birthday in Chase Park


Hundreds gather for a day of music, family fun, and local pride as the Village marks a historic milestone.

Hundreds of residents and visitors gathered in Chase Park on May 31 to celebrate Scarsdale’s 325th birthday with live music, family activities, games, local businesses, and community organizations.

Presented in partnership with the Village of Scarsdale, the Scarsdale Business Alliance, and Down to Earth Markets, the event brought neighbors together for an afternoon of community, history, and hometown pride. Held alongside the Destination Scarsdale Farmers Market, the celebration also encouraged attendees to explore downtown and support local businesses.

Mayor Justin Arest, Deputy Mayor Gruenberg, community leaders, sponsors, volunteers, and residents joined in recognizing Scarsdale’s remarkable history and celebrating its future.

As the Village marks 325 years, the event served as a powerful reminder of the collaboration and community spirit that will help Scarsdale thrive for generations to come.

A Great Night of Community & Connection

Our Summer Meet & Greet at the JCC Mid-Westchester was everything the Scarsdale Business Alliance is all about—bringing people together, building relationships, and strengthening our local business community.

Despite the summer heat and smoky skies, the evening was filled with energy as business owners, entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, community partners, and local elected officials came together to network, exchange ideas, and spark new opportunities. It was especially exciting to welcome many first-time attendees and new SBA members—we’re thrilled to have you as part of our growing community.

One of the evening’s highlights was our customized name tags, featuring each attendee’s business Instagram handle and QR code, making it easy to connect both in person and online. Judging by the conversations throughout the room, they were a hit!

The event showcased the incredible diversity of Scarsdale’s business community, with representatives from real estate, healthcare, wellness, technology, financial services, retail, nonprofits, and many other industries all under one roof. It’s this mix of businesses, organizations, and community leaders that makes the SBA such a valuable network.

A special thank you to the JCC Mid-Westchester for graciously hosting us and opening their doors when the weather required a last-minute move indoors. Their hospitality helped make the evening a tremendous success.
