A Message from the President
William Shakespeare, the famed English poet, playwright, and actor, wrote in Sonnet 18, "Summer's lease hath all too short a date."

In addition to speaking our CRE language (wink, wink), Shakespeare nailed the sentiment I think we all feel as we head into August—and cherish those last precious days of our summer lease.

And what a summer it’s been! We kicked things off with a bang, hosting the annual Eastern Regional Symposium (ERS). The event was a huge success. Sponsorship was sold out by mid-March, and the Boston tours sold out quickly. We are so proud of and thankful to all the New England Chapter members who put countless hours into planning and organizing those local events. Well done!

After that success, summer was as busy as ever, with a number of programs, summer socials (click here for the Career Strategies + Development event photos), and our ever-popular Charitable Golf Tournament to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. The day was a blast—as well as helped us exceed our fundraising goal. Thanks a million to our steadfast committee members for the work they do year-round to pull off this event! Read more tournament highlights below.

Summer still isn’t quite over—we have another social on deck (see below for details) and many more beautiful days to soak in! Enjoy your time, and I hope to see you on August 22.

ANNUAL CHARITABLE GOLF TOURNAMENT
The 19th Annual Charitable Golf Tournament on July 17, 2019 at Pinehills in Plymouth was a great success, exceeding its fundraising goals to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston and giving Chapter Members an opportunity to network and compete outside of the office.

#TBT: EASTERN REGIONAL SYMPOSIUM
More than 400 CRE professionals attended the 2019 Eastern Regional Symposium on June 3rd and 4th at Boston University. The New England Chapter was out in force with 158 members attending and many of our city's premier projects on display. Past Chapter President Sarah Abrams, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Real Estate for Iron Mountain was part of the all-star speaker line-up and participants toured projects in the growing neighborhoods of Boston's Seaport, Kendall Square, and Boston Landing.

REAL ADVANTAGE SUMMER CLAMBAKE
No summer vacation for our Real Advantage program! Last month’s dinner brought the group to the Jubilee Yacht Club in Beverly, hosted by President Suzanne Cooper, for a true New England lobster-clambake-BBQ. For more info on these invitation-only networking opportunities, visit our website.
