Back to School & Back to Serving You

Dear Friends, Family, and Neighbors of District 33B,

September always feels like a fresh start.

Our children are heading back to school, teachers and administrators are back in the classroom, parents are settling into new routines, and many of us are getting back to the normal rhythm of work, family, and community life.

For me, it is also a reminder of why I am so proud to represent District 33B.

Back to school means investing in our children and supporting the educators who dedicate themselves to helping them succeed. Back to work means making sure Maryland remains a place where families can build a future, businesses can grow, and hard work is rewarded.

As we begin another school year and another busy season in our communities, I remain focused on the issues that matter most to the people I represent......from education and public safety to responsible government, economic opportunity, and making sure our neighborhoods remain strong.

The work of representing you doesn't stop when the legislative session ends. I continue listening, meeting with constituents, visiting our communities, and working to make sure your voice is heard.

So as we say goodbye to summer and settle back into our routines, I encourage everyone to embrace the new school year, support our teachers and students, and continue investing in the people and small businesses that make District 33B such a great place to live.

Thank you for the privilege of representing you in Annapolis.

đźš— Zero Deaths Maryland: Getting Back to School & Back to Work Safely

As our families get back to school and Marylanders return to their daily work routines, I want to remind everyone that getting where we're going safely matters.

September means more school buses, students walking and biking to school, increased morning and afternoon traffic, and more people sharing our roads.

Maryland’s Zero Deaths initiative reminds us of a simple but powerful principle: every crash is preventable, and every life counts.

As your Delegate, I support efforts to make our roads safer through better infrastructure, responsible enforcement, education, and safer driving habits.

Please slow down. Put the phone down. Buckle up. Watch for pedestrians and cyclists. Give school buses plenty of room. And never drive impaired.

We all have a role to play in getting our children to school, our families to work, and our neighbors home safely.

Let's make zero deaths more than a goal—let's make it our shared commitment.

Back to school. Back to work. Back to the responsibility we all share to keep Maryland moving safely.

Maryland Association of Counties Conference

2026 Building What’s Next.....

As Maryland families prepare to get back to school and back to work, our local governments are also preparing for what comes next.

I recently had the opportunity to participate in the Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) Summer Conference in Ocean City, bringing together leaders from across Maryland to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing our communities.

This year’s theme, “Build What’s Next,” was especially timely. Conversations focused on strengthening our infrastructure, improving cooperation between state and local governments, embracing new technologies, expanding housing opportunities, supporting education, and ensuring that Maryland communities have the resources they need to thrive.

For me, MACo is about more than meetings and policy discussions. It is an opportunity to listen, learn, and bring ideas back home to District 33B.

The best solutions often come from sharing what is working in communities across Maryland and finding ways to apply those lessons locally.

As we head into a busy fall, I remain committed to working with our county and local leaders, listening to our residents, and making sure the priorities of District 33B have a strong voice in Annapolis.

Back to school. Back to work. And always focused on building what’s next for our communities.
